I had a very disturbing experience at ibis Budget RJ Centro that future travelers should be aware of. On 27 March 2026, during check-in at the hotel reception, my backpack was stolen from the lobby sofa inside the hotel premises. This was not outside or on the street — it happened within the reception area while I was actively checking in. An official police report was filed with the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, which clearly confirms that the theft occurred inside the hotel, specifically in the reception area. I have attached a copy of the report (with personal details protected). Some of my documents were recovered the following day by the police, but all valuable items — including electronics and personal belongings — remain missing, resulting in a significant financial loss. What is most concerning is that an unauthorized individual was able to enter the hotel, take a guest’s belongings, and leave without any intervention. This raises serious questions about the level of security and monitoring in place at the property. Despite multiple follow-ups, the hotel’s response has been disappointing and has focused more on shifting responsibility onto the guest rather than addressing the security lapse within their premises. I strongly advise anyone staying here to be extremely cautious with their belongings, even inside the hotel reception area.

O hotel é bem localizado. O restaurante oferece opções básicas para almoço e jantar. Os funcionários são gentis e solícitos. Chegamos antes do horário previsto para o check in, mas fomos prontamente atendidos.

Os elevadores não funcionavam adequadamente. Apesar do pouco movimento no hotel o tempo de espera era acima do desejado. Penso que ducha higiênica deveria estar instalada ao lado do vaso foi e foi retirada, pois havia vestígio no local.

Bem localizado, equipe atenciosa e bom café da manhã.

O hotel não tem academia nem qualquer área de lazer

Primeiro, a reserva era um quarto com 02 camas de solteiro e eles me colocaram num quarto com cama de casal. A descrição do quarto falva que tinha essa opção. Comprovei porque questionei pelo chat e o atendente me respondeu positivamente, porque a atendente da recepção, uma loira com piercing FOI EXTREMAMENTE MAL EDUCADA, ARROGANTE E SEQUER OLHAVA NA MINHA CARA PARA FALAR COMIGO. FOI O PIOR ATENDIMENTO QUE JÁ TIVE NA VIDA. O pior ainda foi a reserva apontava que estava com café da manhã incluso. Quando eu fui tomar café da manhã, me falaram que não era e novamente essa atendente loira e outra mulher negra com cabelo curto, foi basicamente ríspida e mal educada. Não me ofereceram nada de cortesia ou uma sugestão para que minha estadia fosse melhor no hotel, nao me explicaram sequer como utilizava o cartao de acesso ao meu quarto. A pior experiencia foi esse atendimento que está longe de ser profissional.
