There wasn't anything I found unsuitable.

We enjoyed looking at all the different architecture and spent time in some of the thrift shops. My daughter and I took the mega bus from Cincinnati Ohio for a comedy show. It was a great 36 hours. Kitchen was adorable. Breakfast was great and the staff was very nice. They even made extra items for my daughter who is dairy free.

My husband and I rented out Wicker Park Inn for our wedding weekend, including the main house and the garden apartment across the street. We hosted 22 of our closest family and friends, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and it became one of the most meaningful parts of our entire celebration, especially as it was the first time some of our families met. From the moment we arrived, the staff struck the perfect balance of being attentive and available while still giving us space to enjoy time together. Each morning, they prepared a generous, homemade breakfast that was both delicious and thoughtfully tailored to accommodate multiple food allergies in our group, something we truly appreciated. The location is another standout. The inn sits on a beautiful, quiet, tree-lined street in Wicker Park, just steps from restaurants, shops, and everything you would want for a full weekend in the neighborhood. It is also an ideal backdrop for photos, both inside and out. We even did our first look on the staircase in the home, which made for such a special and intimate moment. We used the kitchen and common area to get ready on the morning of the wedding, with over 15 women rotating through hair and makeup. It was such a fun, high-energy space. The staff even played music for us, and we were able to bring in our own food and drinks, which made it feel relaxed and personal. Parking was also easy and conveniently provided by the inn, which made things seamless for our group. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotless, and very well maintained. Communication throughout the entire planning process, over a year, was seamless. Laura and her team were always quick to respond, answer questions, and put us at ease. One thing worth mentioning, some reviews note train noise, but we found that to be completely overblown. You can barely hear it, and for those who are sensitive, the inn provides sound machines and earplugs. We are used to city noise, but even our family members visiting from rural areas were not bothered in the slightest. On our final morning, I found myself happily in tears thanking the staff. Being able to have everyone we love under one roof made an already special weekend even more meaningful. We would wholeheartedly recommend Wicker Park Inn to any couple looking for an alternative to a traditional hotel. It offers the intimacy and connection you do not get with a hotel, and the ease and service you will not find in an Airbnb. You get to fully enjoy your weekend without worrying about logistics, just being present with the people you love.

What a spectacular experience we just enjoyed at the Wicker Park Inn!! From the moment we arrived, we were brilliantly taken care of by Ky, one of the innkeepers. She was just terrific, from her home baked breakfast muffins and cakes to the ever-present flow of coffee, tea and fridge snacks (chia pudding and overnight oats, bagels and condiments and all types of milk, and even OJ. And she did all of this with thoughtfulness and pleasant conversation, insuring that our stay was perfect which it was. When our family stopped by to see the Inn, Ky also warmly welcomed them with a tour! Later in our stay, we had the pleasure of meeting the other innkeeper, Amelia! She too was professional and hospitable and her warmth and attention added so much to our experience. I particularly loved sitting in the gorgeous baby blue breakfast room and the charm of the passing train! Additionally, both of the guest rooms we had reserved were so lovely. Everything was beautifully appointed, comfortable and immaculate. This is a very, very special place, on the most beautiful street, and we cannot wait to return with our entire family!! Thank you

Very easy check-in, clean and comfortable, competitively priced, easy to get to restaurants and coffee shops, helpful staff who were quick to answer questions and assist. We purchased garage parking which was helpful due to the snow. Some train noise but the host provides ear plugs which decreases the sound considerably. As mentioned earlier if you can try to get a room toward the front, that may help with the noise. Would stay again.

This is a very cute inn. Our room was spotless, the bed was clean, and the people who worked there were friendly. The chocolate chip scones were very good too!

Everything. The room, the location, the breakfast and most of all the staff. They were extremely kind and helpful considering.

It is a very charming old town house and quite small. The floors are made of wood so anyone who walks past the room would be very noisy. Not much can be done about it.
