"Exceptional Service Leading to A Perfect Experience!"

From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The valet service was prompt and courteous, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. The front desk staff welcomed us warmly and made check-in seamless. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly pleasant, professional, and genuinely helpful. Our upgraded room was super clean with absolutely no issues. It’s clear that attention to detail and guest satisfaction are top priorities here. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will absolutely be returning!

"Stay Away if you want luxury"

0 out of 5. Yet again a disappointing stay - should have thought better then to return. Their amenities are subpar, at best, for what is supposed to be luxury hotel; they are unaccommodating, rude, disrespectful, and their “service” is heinous. My husband and I stayed numerous times and enjoyed the prior staff, but clearly recent changes have brought in a new “style” which is unacceptable to that of a “luxury” resort.

"Used to be the best "

Not surprised about the slow service at the bar. It’s been that way for the past year. Took an hour to get dinner and had to remind them of food we ordered that they forgot so it was another 30 minutes. Chairs at pool were moldy and towels were damp. Tons of ants around chairs and we were bit so many times we left the pool. The duvet had blood marks on it and when it slipped off the duvet cover we noticed it. Couldn’t get in the wet bar because the lock was stripped. Other than that is was okay.

"An Absolutely Stunning Hotel!"

My husband and I have been staying at the Umstead Hotel since it opened in 2007. The service is impeccable; the rooms are gorgeous and the pool (and pool service) and spa are amazing. Top tier service throughout the property. The restaurant, Heron’s, is one of a kind- just like the hotel. We love the wonderful mix of art, nature and ambience. We also enjoyed tea with their harpist playing and Robert in the lounge. Highly recommend!
