Nice small motel. Simple and clean. Daily housekeeping.

Comfortable stay. Biggest drawback was no food delivery from restaurants. Only from local service.

Do not book this hotel. Consider yourself warned. Filthy, unkept. Unprofessional owners. It is very much in need of remodeling and is in poor shape. I booked on hotels.com, thinking this was a decent establishment. I checked in, looked at the room which smelled awful, and returned to the check in counter to ask for a refund. They refused a refund and would not even refund me for the next night. I left and booked another hotel which was 30 miles away. I hope this helps another person learn from my experience….and expense!

This motel is old but we have stayed there before, several times. The rooms we had were always large, the air was always cold, and the water was always hot. Other than being dated, there were no complaints. It’s been a couple of years since then and it has changed terribly! The walls were filthy and had not been cleaned in ages. The wallpaper was coming off in countless places. And in the first room we had, the air never really cooled. We were prepared to overlook those things even though we were disappointed in the condition of the facility and of of our room specifically. (Not to mention the small roach that came from behind the torn wallpaper in the bathroom above the shower) Until we came back from a day and night on the water and walking into a room with bugs!!! There were several small bugs on the walls ans 2 IN OUR BED! And while we were checking for other issues and taking pictures, a cockroach came from out of the sink. I called and told them I needed to be moved and they agreed to give us another room. That rooms was in no better condition, however we only saw 1 cockroach and killed it. When I checked out, the nice lady at the desk acted as if there were no way her place would have roaches! She said the last guest in that room has to have brought them in. But regardless, I had to spray my bag and clothes before bringing them in my home for fear of roaches being in my bags. And was not offered a refund of any kind or even a discount for the disgusting environment!

The staff was very rude. There were no towels or wash rags. The beds were dirty. The floors were dirty. The remote did not have batteries in it. Getting the Wi-Fi password was a hassle. They called us an hour and a half before check out to check out.

Ice buckets had dirt in them. Table was broken had L brackets holding it together and the tv did not work. Did not receive no money back when we checked out the same day as checking in!

Great stay quiet

They hit us up for extra money we didn’t have... we rented this room while my fiancé and I were out of town with two friends of ours... short on money our other sleeping arrangements fell through so we found this place. It had two beds in the room so we decided to all 4 share the room. After paying a VERY OVERPRICED $97, they hit us up for ANOTHER $30 because we had our two friend with us... AFTER they’d already ran my card and didn’t allow refunds... they kept saying it was “the policy”... they ended up settling for $20 extra but Still payed $117 for a “$30 type of room”. I don’t understand how it cost them another dime to have the other two people with us... it felt like they took advantage of the situation. I told them we were short on money and that $20 was a lot of money to us at the time... HAVE A HEART PEOPLE!! I hope that extra $20 was worth it... because we will never stay there again. I’d sleep In my truck before I gave them another dime.

Worse place I've ever been in! Filthy, mold everywhere in bathroom. Stain bedding and very rude manager! The room had a stench of cigarette smoke and who knows what else! Unsafe conditions. No security lock on room and manager said my room number aloud in front of other male customers! I've reported the facility to the local Health department

For what it is, the Stone Brook Inn is a perfectly acceptable and pleasant motel. HOWEVER, one must acknowledge going in what it is: a cheap hotel for you to sleep in during your weekend at the lake. It is not an extraordinarily NICE hotel. It's not a Hampton or Holiday Inn. It's a cheap, local, hotel. As such, while it was far from the nicest hotel I had ever stayed at, I also didn't live in fear of needing to update my tetanus shot if I scratched myself on something. Admittedly, I did spend the last morning we were there smelling something vaguely like mold, and the state of the bottom of the shower curtain made me steer very clear of it, but other than that, it was all very clean. Also, the service was exceptional- when we discovered that my dad had accidentally booked a smoking room, the lady at the desk asked how long we were staying, checked over her options, and moved us to a non-smoking room, no extra charge. Having a fully working fridge, wifi, and microwave was also really nice! All in all, it's not that impressive a hotel, but it certainly does the job we needed it to. Just don't expect the lap of luxury.
