Stonebrook Inn

We were the only guests the night we stayed. It was a bed and shower that served their purpose.

We checked into this hotel, and then checked back out about 15 minutes later. There were roaches in the bed (underneath the blankets), on the walls, and on the bathroom counter. We encountered this issue here last summer and spoke with the owner about it and felt confident they would’ve remedied this issue by now, so we gave them another chance. The front desk employee (family member of the owner) gave me the same shocked/surprised look when I informed them they still had a roach infestation there. This family lives in this hotel, and there is no way they do not know there are roaches. Every thing about this place is very low quality; rooms smell like cigarette smoke (including the non-smoking ones), the beds and sheets are gross, the lamps on the walls are yellowed and falling apart... We won’t be giving any more chances here. I will never stay here again.

Property looked like it was full of permanent residents that was a section 8 housing. People checked in next door and was complaining at 3 am that their bed was not even made. There was food crumbs everywhere on the floor. Opened the fridge and there were roacbes inside. Pillow cases were covered in long hair like they never changed or even as much as washed them. Pillows looked like the were 20 years old and yellow with stains.

the room was fine the beds was great their was lots of hot water the fridge didnt stay cold but the coffee maker worked great was only their for a few days because my sister has stage 4 cancer she only has a a month or so left ti live

A great deal for the money you pay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and with good water pressure. The family who runs it were friendly and helpful.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke and mold, bought Lysol spray for the carpet and all surfaces.(non smoking room) The light fixtures were falling off of the wall and as was the towel rack in the bathroom. There was a light bulb out over the sink in the bathroom. I have better shop towels in my garage than were in the bathroom. I was assured on check in that i could check out early if needed as paper mill outages are very fluid, but on my attempt to checkout early i was informed that i needed 48 hours notice. I have stayed in thousands of hotels around the world over the years and have never encountered this. I definately would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Few complaints. Door didn't lock: I walked right in by pushing it. Terrifying. Dead bug on the floor. Believe it was a roach. Shower didn't work. Old TV. Heard a man snoring next door. Save your money.

What you would expect

Nice people, but I had to clean the coffee maker completely before using it. It was in the bathroom, on the counter! Yuck! Sub standard linens, stained. Had to call several times to get the TV to work. I think they are in way over their heads financially here. WI Fi signal was weak, their son was in the front office gaming on it.

Upon arrival found 2 shell casings in the parking lot. Door jam at one point had been kicked in. Bathroom door did not shut & was was kicked in. Tub was dirty. But the worse part, I went to pull the covers down found hair on the pillow (that was not mine) and red stains on the pillow case. Immediately left. Lost 68.00 and will never stay there again.
