Beautiful resort. Felt very private as each room is separate. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Good location with a short commute to Ao Nang beach area. There are a lot of stairs but it's what makes this place special.

Good, attentive and helpful hotel staffs. Room is in well maintain and spacious. Cleanliness is as expected. Only thing is lots of stairs so be prepare to do some climbing.

Loved our stay here, located on the beach, it has its own charm, tranquility and serenity to it. the staff is very welcoming and took care of everything. There were really good vegetarian options, and enjoyed having food by the beach! Definitely will visit again! Thank you for making it so memorable.

This is a difficult review to write and I have thought long and hard about the good and negative. We stayed two nights. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We booked a lower room and were upgraded to an upper. There are steps. Not just a few but lots and lots. We are pretty fit but in the heat of the sun even my husband said it’s too much. The room when it was built 21 years ago would have been stunning. It is quality. However it is aging now and time for a Refurb. It is clean and fine but not the wow you would expect. Lots of storage, two sinks. Strange no toilet door but If you are married as long as us he knows if I am not in the bedroom then don’t come in! Pool area stunning! Pool boy was amazing. So attentive. Water topped up. Fresh towels. However the sunbeds were so uncomfortable, really not good. Breakfast was pretty okay. Good choice. Good poached eggs. Again service excellent - manager kindly got us Guava juice when none available. The beach is incredibly beautiful. The setting outstanding.however there is a very pudgent smell of sewerage around the pool. I hope this hotel invests some money in the hotel and the staff keep their jobs. Worth mentioning that outside the hotel lots of lovely restaurants and bars. We will return to the area but not the hotel sadly

The pictures online basically catfished us. We had dedicated the last 4 days of our honeymoon here, but upon arrival we knew we were scammed. Upon arrival, the staff was not exactly rude, but not professional and not welcoming compared to the other hotels we visited in Thailand prior. It felt like we were checking into a cheap motel. As we passed staff walking around, no one greeted us or even smiled. The rooms were quite dirty, there were stains on the bed headboard and the tub, although beautiful looking, was sticky and oily inside and around it. The floorboards squeaked with every step. The cabinets were very clearly out of date. It was so funny because on check in, the woman told us "everything inside the fridge and minibar is completely complementary" as a highlight amenity of the resort, but when we opened the fridge, it was empty except for two water bottles. Another small point of feeling like things are over-advertised. We checked out the pool but the chairs were covered in stains and dirt. The area also smelled of garbage (it could be either the pool area or the beach area). The breakfast buffet was so poor, with the rice completely hard and cold, with some flies on the fruit, and with the bread stale. After just one night there, my husband and I decided we had to unfortunately loose the money we spent on this apparent "luxury 5 star" resort and wasted more money to book the Banyan Tree down the road so that our honeymoon didn't end terribly. We're so glad we made the decision to leave but so incredibly frustrated about additional money wasted. If you are looking for a luxury, romantic resort, please take this review seriously and look elsewhere. And don't be tricked by the overly edited photos of the site.

A nice classy old fashioned boutique hotel We loved the vast private rooms. The beautiful location the beach and the food. There are numerous steps so the place isn't suitable for children and people with reduced mobility. Also the beautiful garden is somewhat overgrown so very few room have sea view. We had to miss our last night due to a family emergency. The hotel was not willing to refund that night. Other places in Thailand gave much better service.

Wonderful Hotel, perfect location, gorgeous rooms, amazing staff, restaurant and food were excellent. The beach is lovely and the pool is stunning. Loved every minute of our stay and so did all my friends. This is a definite boutique hotel big enough to offer all the lovely extras such as the Spa ( with the most fabulous Healthy back massage with Ms Orn) but small enough so you get all the personal attention you need. Front of house helped with booking transport, tours and dinner. They couldn’t do enough for us. Therefore we are returning soon… thank you 🙏

We came here 7 years ago and had a great time. Our repeat visit was again lovely…. We had few grumbles. Nakamanda is a good choice for us.. Lots of repeat visitors we met feel the same. The location on the beach is fantastic, the pool deck is a really a nice place to hang out with a decent bar/restaurant attached. There are plenty of bars ands eats within walking distance. Rooms big and well-appointed if a little dated. We enjoyed seeing the monkeys wandering around the grounds. One big moan, the lack of control of smoking around the restaurant and pool. No apparent rules led to a free for all with arguments about people lighting up cigars even. A designated area would help. Special mention and thanks to Mut who kept our glasses full with iced water and adjusted the parasols as the sun moved (I know) and also Rorra in the spa who Mrs star raved about.
