Kohea Kai Hotel Maui

Nous avons réservé 4 nuits ici pour plus de 1000 $ et notre expérience a été inacceptable. La chambre attribuée était dégoûtante: meubles cassés, trous dans les murs, grave infestation de cafards (une dizaine en moins de 24 heures) et le bois des encadrement de porte était complètement pourri. Quand on s'est plaint, la réceptionniste n’a pas même fait preuve d’un "désolée". Au lieu de cela, elle a essayé de minimiser le problème, prétendant que les insectes étaient simplement dus à "la saison" et que les dégâts étaient liés au fait que l'établissement était "vieux" et nous a suggéré brutalement de faire le check-out nous laissant nous débrouiller seules, sachant qu'un logement de dernière minute à Kihei est plus que compliqué à trouver. Après avoir fortement insisté, une chambre au rez-de-chaussée parfaitement propre, sans aucun insecte ni bois pourri nous a été attribuée, prouvant que ses excuses étaient des mensonges. Pour couronner le tout, nous avons eu ZÉRO ménage pendant nos 4 nuits. Forcer les clients à des confrontations pour avoir une chambre décente tout en supprimant les services de base pour le prix fort, c'est honteux. À éviter.

The room was nice and clean, especially the bed and bathroom! The beach was right across from the hotel which was super convenient for a chance to watch the sunrise on the beach!

Sadly the AC didn’t work when we were there and the staff tried their best to fix it but to no avail. Also there was a stale smell in the room which was bearable to me, but ultimately had to buy some perfume to spray around the room to get rid of the smell.

This was a terrific and unusual find for Kihei. I felt like a bit of a sleuth to have successfully found it, and it was a great combination of price and value. For starters, even when I checked in it almost midnight, I worried that a tiny place may not be ready for it but the evening staff was great. I ended up reserving the penthouse, mainly because the pictures made it look great, and it wasn't even all that much more expensive than a regular room. Bottom line? I didn't get my money's worth, because I didn't have the time. I definitely made it a point to simply walk across the street to the beach, which was a fantastic hidden gem of its own, with But I would love to come back and make better use of the kitchen, dining, and living areas. My bedroom was at a loft area that was immaculately remodeled, as was its bathroom. In fact, next time I have the chance to stay here, I may try to talk friends into booking some of the other rooms, and then we could have a great dinner together on our own private patio. Great place!hardly anyone there, but a fantastic view and great vibe. Lucky me!

Bathroom had black mold, there were exposed electrical wires in the kitchen. Rain flooded under door seal, Floor in the kitchen and bathroom was filthy. We had talked to the Manager on duty about a refund of the 2nd night stay. Due to health issues, I can't be around black mold, the manager on duty indicated he would follow up. After 3 messages to the property with no response, this is juat another example of significant problems with the resort. Everyone - if you are traveling to Maui, do not waste your time with this property

So, the room had an open ceiling facing the sky, which resulted in the light waking us up really early. Also, the bathroom was smelling piss. Overall, I would not suggest it.
