"Outstanding hotel at an affordable price with great amenities"

The lobby was clean and bright and the front desk clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room smelled fresh and clean, the bathroom was immaculate, no dust build up in the corners and a nice single serve keurig in our room. The bed was very comfortable, had a great night's sleep after a day walking around Old Sturbridge Village for hours! The breakfast selection was outstanding and free, that's always a plus. And the hotel staff was courteous and helpful with our requests. Highly recommend.

I asked people downstairs to put a new bulb in a lamp and make sure water goes down the drain quickly, never happened and no one cared to ask if it was ever done. No service . Also water pressure is low and cold. Crappy hotel

It was very clean! The staff was very nice as well. We did not have our dog this time, but we found out animals are welcome and we absolutely loved that! That was a huge selling point in the future.

"Don't go there if you expect Housekeeping to do its job."

I paid in advance for a 6-day stay but wished I had not done so as it would have been impossible to leave without losing the money I'd already paid. My issue was with Housekeeping. They emptied our overflowing trash cans just 3 times out of 6 days, forgot to put in a trash bag, never replaced slimy hand soap with gunk on the soap dish, forgot toilet paper, forgot towels, never made the bed or changed the sheets, forgot coffee cups, stirrers, or sugar for the Keurig, etc. Luke, who worked the 2 pm-11 pm front desk shift, is the only thing that kept me sane. Every evening, when I returned from my day out, I'd have to come downstairs to ask for soap, toilet paper, towels, coffee cups, sugar, a trash bag, etc. Each night he did it all with a smile and an apology, but his job is the Front Desk, not subbing for Housekeeping. One morning, as I left the hotel, I brought the situation to the attention of the morning Desk crew, telling them how Luke had been working hard. They said Housekeeping would clean the room. They finally made the bed, emptied the trash, brought in towels, but forgot to give us coffee cups/sugar/stirrers. They replaced the slimy soap, but never cleaned the dish. It was a terrible stay, and I should have had some sort of refund on my 6-day stay. The Hilton Garden Inn has a guarantee to make things right if things go wrong. They definitely did not live up to that false promise.
