The staff deserve a very special mention. Bright, Apple and Gabbie were outstanding in their customer service and patience. The place is a beauty, breakfast for vegetarians is wow. 10 on 10 to everything!!

The resort itself is beautiful, offering a relaxing atmosphere and excellent facilities. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary activities like yoga and tennis, which added great value to the overall experience. What truly stood out, however, was the staff—they were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. The on-site restaurant, White Lotus, serves good indian and thai food, and the quality is definitely commendable. That said, the portion sizes didn’t quite match the pricing—especially dishes like paneer and dal makhani, which felt a bit small for the cost. The property is beginning to show some signs of ageing. Improvements could be made in areas such as older bathrooom fittings and less shower pressure, also the gym equipment feels somewhat outdated. Even small details, like the lack of soft-close toilet seats, stood out as areas for potential upgrade. Additionally, the resort is located a bit far from the main city areas, which can make getting around slightly inconvenient if you plan to explore. One notable drawback is the lack of direct beach access, especially when compared to properties like Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, which offers seamless beachfront access. The Bali resort also stands out for its more diverse dining options—including Indonesian, Italian, and international cuisine—often complemented by beachfront dining experiences and specialised bar offerings, which are somewhat limited at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. During busy times, the breakfast area appeared somewhat understaffed, resulting in slower service. There were also occasional challenges with English communication, although the staff were always polite and clearly doing their best—enhancing language proficiency would further elevate the guest experience. Overall, it’s still a great place to stay, particularly for families with kids given the facilities and activities on offer. However, for adults—especially considering the price point—it may not feel like the best value. With some refurbishment, improved dining portions, and a few enhancements to the overall experience, it could be significantly better.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. The hotel itself is beautiful, elegant, and very relaxing, but what really made our experience special was the exceptional staff. A special thank you to the amazing team at Maya Restaurant. Every visit there was a pleasure — the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We would especially like to mention Nitta, Palmy, Irg, Mook, and Nid, who were all incredibly kind, professional, and always made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Their hospitality added so much to our stay. We also want to sincerely thank the front desk team, who were always helpful, polite, and efficient. From check-in to any request during our stay, they handled everything with a smile and true professionalism. A very special mention also goes to Sarawut (Farukh) from the bell staff. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and respectful, and his positive attitude left a great impression on us. Staff like him truly represent the spirit of great hospitality. Overall, our stay at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort was memorable thanks to the outstanding service and the people who work there. We would be very happy to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Krabi.

The hotel was fantastic. Nice amenities and fabulous staff. A must is to have a drink at the Explorer Bar and meet Tas. He’s a great bartender and even better human being.

Great resort, huge pool. Daily Muay Thai kickboxing lessons with Varis were a highlight to get my body moving after so many hours lounging around the pool. Varis was always positive, safe, and made the workout fun. Introductory Thai language lessons in the Explorer Bar were fun as well.

In March 2026, my husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at Sofitel Krabi, culminating nearly a year of meticulous planning. Despite being based in Australia, we successfully coordinated with Bew, our exceptional wedding coordinator, to ensure a seamless experience for almost 60 guests from around the world. Throughout the planning process, Bew demonstrated great organization and attention to detail, providing a comprehensive tour of the venues and contingency plans two days prior to the ceremony. On the wedding day, despite unexpected heavy rainfall minutes prior to the ceremony, it was still held at the beach as the sky cleared up with a beautiful sunset. There were some minor discomfort as the guests mentioned that the seats were soaking wet. Although a very quick decision, Bew and the team efficiently adapted to the situation, relocating the garden reception indoors due to wet grass and minimizing disruption for our guests. The flower arrangements, bouquets, cake, and food were exceptional, with the team catering to dietary requirements and last-minute changes. While minor misunderstandings arose due to the size of our wedding party, they did not detract from the overall positive experience. We appreciate the supplier recommendations provided by Sofitel, including makeup, photography, videography, and signage services, all of which offered affordable and excellent service. Even our celebrant, Don was fantastic and made the ceremony and sand pouring ritual a great experience. The team also surprised us with a wedding night room service with a cute and artsy congratulations sign. As part of the wedding package, we enjoyed a complimentary dinner and massage at Sofitel. We extend our gratitude to the White Lotus team, Sol, and the entire team for the personalized caricature and handwritten card. The So Spa team provided a fantastic experience, complete with a bouquet and personalized touches. We also stayed at Sofitel for 9 days and enjoyed the amenities that the hotel has offered. All of the staff are nice and friendly. Thank you Bew, all the team in Sofitel for making our wedding day a great experience even though we are not based in Thailand. Thanks
