Hampton Inn & Suites Fremont

It was OK.

We typically associate Hampton Inns with comfort and quality—this one did not come close to meeting that expectation. We were first put in a room that abutted both the elevator and ice machine, this despite our request indicating a quiet room away from ice makers, elevators, and adjoining rooms. The room was extremely musty smelling. We were moved to another room, just as musty, that had an adjoining room—ARGH. We turned the thermostat to 65 to help clear the musty smell. (Better to be cold than to gag.) The shower had dark hairs in it and even after rinsing it out, I later found one of the offending hairs on my foot while showering —GROSS. The shower also had mold in the grout and had what appeared to be a vintage Waterpik shower head. The toilet had a dark stain in it——ICK. The bathroom light fixture contained a collection of dead bugs, in contrast to the couple of live ants on the floor.

Close to stores and restaurants but still far enough away to be quiet.

The bathroom was okay but the shower was obviously not cleaned super well around the edges. Could see old residue and coloring from not being cleaned properly for a very long time, like years. But I still took a shower so there's that! lol I really liked the soap dispensers they have in shower and next to the sink. Zero was the brand name, all the products smelled wonderful, and it was so easy, attached to the shower wall and easy to use while being a fabulous product. I also liked that the room had a refrigerator, iron and ironing board, which I did use.

Of the six hotels that we stayed at during our vacation, this was the best hotel. Staff was great and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was cleaning the tables and restocking the food. Would recommend this hotel and if the opportunity arises would stay here again. Thank you to all of the staff for an excellent stay.

Trash outside elevator was over full for 3 nights. Hallway smelled from the trash. Coffee was very tasteless/weak even the dark roast.
