Nora Beach Resort and Spa

Set on the hillside, our villa had its own pool with incredible views over the bay. The site is quite steep, but there is always a golf buggy on hand to whisk you between your villa and the restaurant/ pool/ seaside - which added to the fun. With 2 other resort pools to choose from too, including swim up bars, this was a relaxing and luxurious stay. The in house restaurants had a great selection of local and western food, and the main town in the island is only 5 minutes taxi away if you want a change of scene. The friendly and helpful concierge arranged 2 excellent excursions for us and hailed taxis whenever we needed them.

We traveled from Australia as a group to celebrate 3 x 60th birthdays. The luxury escapes package was outstanding, staff +amenities amazing. The resort was always clean and tidy, the variety of tasty fresh food at all meals was brilliant. Ocean villa was very spacious king bed, bath,seperate indoor and outdoor showers, tea coffee making facilities plenty of room for drinks with 8 of your travel buddies. Staff were attentive and polite, special shout out to Cha Cha AKA ( Tom Cruise) for his mixologist skills. We will all miss happy hour with you. Nothing was to hard for the staff and all 10 of us highly recommend the resort and his staff.

Relaxing and quiet. More on property entertainment would have been a plus

Having spent months researching and reviewing hotels for an upcoming anniversary we settled on Nora Beach. We opted for the luxury of the Beachfront Pool Villa Suite for 4 nights and planned to book Spa services and Private beach dining. 5 days prior to my arrival I had emailed the hotel to enquire and book the Private beach dinner which is advertised on their website. (I did not receive a response and assumed this might have been an oversight or I will receive more information upon my arrival.) We arrived late afternoon on 13th September and was checked in and taken to our room with no issues. We used our pool for about an hour and rested under the pergola after. After sitting under the pergola for 15 minutes we noticed the mat crawling with tiny little ants, needless to say we did not stay out here longer than needed and set off out for the evening and returned late in the night. The next morning we receive a phone call informing us water has been turned off due to soiled plumbing and no idea when this will be back on. We didn't think much of this. Thought was more annoyed and we didn't want to let this ruin our stay so opted to venture out again instead of staying at the resort. It was only when we went for breakfast we realised there was building work going on, the front of the hotel restaurant was covered in black netting with a digger and a big excavation going on, we went back to our room and noticed the letter informing us that 'due to recent stormy weather emergency repairs were needed starting from 5th September for approximately 5 weeks'. Needless to say we were unable to use the lovely pool villa we had booked as its right next to the building work and now water was a problem too, this also explained why I didn't receive a response to my enquiry for Private beach dinner as this would not have been possible. If I had known there would be building works on going I would not have chosen this place. Nora Beach should take more responsibility to inform customers of such scenarios especially when we spend time and money in finding the perfect holiday to commemorate occasions. I have taken the time to write this review and hope it will make others think twice before booking and spending their well earned money. I have given my feedback to Nora Beach reception when I left and have not received any response. The pictures attached show the colour of the water on the 4th day of our stay just as we were leaving, we feel disgusted in not knowing what we bathed and washed in during our time here. The water is brown and full of black minerals in the sink, toilet and bath (shower area is too dark to see).

We stayed 3 nights in the Adults Only villas and the staff were very friendly and respectful. In room dining service and food quality was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Nora beach is a paradise on Koh Samui, pur ocean villa was situated in a beautiful tropical garden, cleaned every day, the staff was very nice and helpful. If there is stg where I would recommend a little improvement is cleaning sun beds at the pool bit better + one of the older guys at the pool bar could look less bothered and amswer to "hellos", but itvwas the only person we didnt like. Overall I strongly recommend and would come back! Thank you!

The beachside villa was amazing. The restaurant and cocktails were very average.

Beautiful Thai style villas that were well maintained and lush landscaping. Calm and peaceful resort that was large enough to allow easy access to loungers in pool area and dining room yet felt intimate and inviting.

I had a hard time using the access card to open the door and so did my friend. We had to slot in the card multiple time and it just won't unlock. When closing the door to go out you will need to slam the door and hence, you have plenty to people slamming their doors throughout the day and night. Mixer for hot and cold water is ridiculous, after waiting for a long time to have warm water, it disappear half way during the shower. There is no lift if you are assigned to be on the high level. You need to climb the stairs, not recommended for those with weak knees. The only enjoyable part is the sea view during breakfast.
