"Beautiful well maintained resort"

This was my first stay at Canoa Ranch Golf resort. I went from owning a house for several years to staying at the resort for the winter months. My experience with the resort has been absolutely wonderful. The reception staff especially Charlie, Mike and Diana have helped me in so many ways. I feel they have went far and beyond any place I have ever stayed. Being a resident there for a few months I feel like they have become family to me. The maintenance staff including Jose, Anthony and Mario are there in a few minutes no matter how minor the issue may be. The house cleaning staff has been wonderful especially Angelina. She always goes out of her way to make sure I have everything that I need. Danielle was able to meet specific needs I have due to severe allergies. She has organized a wonderful staff who all seem to work together well. I am looking forward to staying there again. A beautiful and well maintained resort.

"Charlie was an awesome host!"

I want to give a shout out to Charlie at the front desk! He made our stay amazing. We were visiting our parents (my sister and I and our spouses). We needed to extend our stay a few days due to a family medical situation and Charlie made the whole process seamless. He offered a late check out to accommodate our early evening flight and was also so welcoming as we came and went throughout the week. We'll be back and we hope to see Charlie when we return!

"Odd breakfast experience"

The guy at the front desk is exceptionally professional, approachable, and helpful. I didn't get his name but hopefully there's just one as he deserves kudos. Our hotel room was beautiful, big, and clean. So was the hotel itself. The BEAUTIFUL artwork in the elevator. Absolutely stunning. The hot tub and pool

I didn't like anything about the odd breakfast experience. Where do I even begin? It was so heavily controlled it was off putting. You get a ticket which is marked each day you have breakfast. You go up to a window and order from the limited menu then carry your own *paper* plate to go sit down - yet the staff shout "thanks for the tip!" If you don't tip them for just plonking a pancake on a paper plate. You throw away your own plate too. A tip in this situation would only be for service above and beyond... which it never was in the dining room. If you only ordered a fruit cup thinking you'll go back for more as needed, well todidn't know this in advance. We got a pancake for one of our kids and a fruit cup for the other one thinking we could get more if needed. Our 8 year old skinny child asked for another pancake, they said no. Another guest overheard this and gave us his pancakes because of how ridiculous that scenario was. Let me remind you that this is apparently a refined golf resort not a motel off the side of a freeway. You can't even get your own food. I've never heard of breakfast being "served," it's always a buffet at every hotel around the world that I've been to. And by "serve" I mean you wait in line and they put your food on a paper plate for you. Not a sit down service with a waiter taking your order. It gets worse... there are signs everywhere telling you that you have 30 minutes too bad. They tell you you can't have more. We eat to make space for other guests. There were maybe 5 parties in a room that looked like it could hold 30 parties. It's also rude to rush your guests and make them feel unwelcome, especially with with one thing after another. I'm in shock that this was actually a real experience and not something I read in a fiction novel.

"Two night stay"

We were exploring the area as we travel across the country and chose this location as it was centrally located when going to Tubac and Green Valley. We found the rooms to be clean and sufficient for our needs. Really no reason to stay in the room except to sleep. Lobby area of the building we stayed in were very dated. Chairs that need to be replaced, fake plant that needs to go with the chairs!! Breakfast was made to order and good- omelets, meats, fresh fruit. Staff was kind. We ate at the golf course restaurant on site although no one even suggested we go there. Staffing and drinks in stock was a huge problem- out of most beers which was very bizarre. Food was very good. Would we stay there again? Most likely not but it was fine.

"Stayed for Mom"

I booked 4 nights at Canoa Ranch because my mom lives in Green Valley and wasn't feeling good. She ended up being admitted to a hospital up in Tucson, so I was unable to make my first night. I talked with Mike and let him know, and he said no problem call tomorrow and we'll see how its going. I called the next day and let Mike know that I wouldn't make the second night but I'd be there tomorrow. He said of course, it's no issue. When I arrived, my room was awesome. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I talked to Mike on that third day and thanked him. Customer service like this is why I love to travel. In a family situation, he understood and had empathy. I appreciate that. Thanks Mike. I'll stay again because of you.

"Caution"

Caution! They have no empathy, sympathy or kindness when you cancel your reservation for emergency situations. We received an email on letterhead the day we notified them of the cancellation that stated there would be no charge, zero balance. Six days later our credit card was charged for full price. We called and emailed D, the assistant general manager to have them correct the payment and was told she did not approve it and the charge will stand. WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PROPERTY AND WILL BE SHARING OUR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS.

"Pleasant stay during a difficult time"

We were traveling to Green Valley for a memorial service. Before our stay, there was a problem with our reservation and we called the desk. Diana was so kind and accommodating. She was able to solve the problem and ease our minds so it eliminated our stress while traveling. During our stay the other front desk personnel were equally accommodating. Matt checked our change in reservations and Charlie was on call during our stay. He answered all of our questions and requests with a pleasant attitude and eagerness to please. Kindness means a lot during difficult times. We were very happy with the room and the breakfast was delicious. The omelette team outdid themselves!

Beds were so comfortable! Air conditioning worked great .Breakfast was good.

Shower water pressure was not good but more importantly not hot shower even after letting it warm up 10-15 minutes. Heated pool was a little chilly as well one end was warmer than other.
