Sarova Mara Game Camp

The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

No electricity from midnight to 6am.

L’hôtel est très accueillant, les chambres spacieuses et confortables avec de petites attentions comme la bouillotte qui nous attend dans le lit au moment de se coucher. Le personnel était adorable et au petit soin avec les enfants. Notre guide pour les safaris (Edward) a été incroyable, et a réussi à nous faire voir quasiment tous les animaux de la réserve, avec une gentillesse incroyable.

Tout était parfait.

スタッフが皆さん親切で子供達にも優しく接して下さり、楽しい滞在になりました。部屋からシマウマやイボイノシシ、ヒヒ等が見えたり、夜になると動物の叫び声が聞こえたりとてもワクワクする環境でしまた。食事も美味しく、5日間滞在しましたが毎日少しずつ変わり飽きずに食べられました。プールやアーチェリー、卓球、バスケ、ダーツ、ビリヤード等のアクティビティに子供も大人も毎日ゲームドライブの間の時間を楽しめました。

お部屋自体のインテリアや設備は比較的普通で、毎日の清掃などはだいたい、といった感じでした。 国立公園の中でお土産物ショップ以外の売店などがないため、滞在中飲み物やお菓子など買う所はありません。 国立公園の入場料の件をよく理解していなかったのですが、ホテルが国立公園の中にあるため、ゲームドライブをするかしないかは関係なく、滞在日数×国立公園の入場料が最初にかかるため、実質の宿泊費は思ったよりかかるイメージです。

The staff were amazing. From the front office, to the safari guides, to the restaurant staff - all were excellent.

As a resident of Kenya there are no self-drive options available - you HAVE to use their vehicle and their guides. That should be told up front when you are booking. The costs - it's just not worth the high expense I am afraid. On top of that 'full board' is not full-board. Drinks are extra (even water and soda). And - the exchange rate that they give you is simply criminal. The rate of exchange in Kenya is roughly 130 Ksh per $1 USD. Items are priced in KSH and then when converted they use as rate of 121. That is a 9 Ksh spread......shually. Loved the place, loved the staff but there is no value for money here for a Canadian expat living and working in Kenya. Sorry.
