AZIMUT Hotel Astrakhan

Прилетели очень поздно, последним рейсом, было приятно, что отель организовал трансфер. Добрались до отеля за 10 минут, на ресепшен поселили моментально, причем без назойливых вопросов, все четко: номер такой-то, завтрак там-то, Wi-Fi в номере. В отеле было очень тихо, легли спать- очень удобная кровать. или просто так устали - два перелета. На утро были удивлены, что отель просто кишит гостями. Позавтракали- шведка, все есть, даже фрукты. Приветливый официант проводила за свободный столик, потому что в ресторане было очень много людей- сами бы место не нашли. Муж ушел по рабочим моментам, я осталась в отеле. Замечательное месторасположение- набережная, Волга- красота, еще и с погодой повезло. Прогулялась, приглядела местечко для ужина, рядом с отелем огромное количество ресторанов на любой вкус. В общем поездка удалась. отель замечательны, номер двухкомнатный с большой ванной с видом на реку. Очень порадовал Wi-Fi и месторасположение. Персонал вышколенный, хоть и молодой. Не думала, что молодежь сейчас такая воспитанная, улыбаются, предугадывают пожелания и без лишнего приставания!!! Единственный минус вечером пока все не укладываются спать в отеле очень людно, но зато было не скучно. СПАСИБО!!!

We arrived without a reservation and were quoted $100+ for a certain room type. After asking whether this was the best rate, we took the room, although we thought it quite steep. While waiting for the room to be ready we saw that the same room on booking.com was advertised (and available) at $56. Long story short: after asking the front desk staff why that was, and not getting a satisfactory answer, we were told we could book on booking.com. Which we did. And were then given one of the worst rooms we've had in Russia. Oh well. We then decided not to complain as our interaction with front desk hadn't been all that good anyway. It has mostly been our experience in Russia that the rates advertised as available on booking.com (or similar sites) were also available for walk-ins. Not so here. And staff got quite smug about it. Mostly: smaller hotels always honored those rates; bigger properties or chains seemed to be the ones not offering those rates. The room was old and tired. Bathroom very small and tired, with cracked tiles. Carpet hadn't seen cleaning product in quite some time. We believe there were nicer, renovated rooms available. Wifi. Off street parking. Good location. Average breakfast. PS: we picked this hotel, as our first choice in town, where we'd stayed a few nights before, was fully booked.

Для командировок отличное место!!!Правда дороговато!Персонал вежливый,внимательный!Завтрак на уровне Европейском!Но ремонта в номерах не хватает!Полы старые и как то не комфортно ,пришлось купить фирменные тапочки в отеле!А так всё удобно и близко!

Clean, wifi everywhere. Convenient location at the city center. Few rooms are renovated, you can request them when booking. Great for short stay business trips. Employees were polite and spoke English, which is rare in astrakhan. 15 minutes from the airport...

This hotel is perfectly located in city center so this was a reason for me to choose it. Kremlin, riverside and more interesting attractions are in walking distance from this hotel. I stayed in standard room and it was spacious enough with fresh bed linens and decorations and free wi-fi. I had to leave hotel early morning so could not visit breakfast but my roommate said it was nice. At the end I say many thanks to receptionists for assistance and help with taxi and advices about where to go for a walk.

Always blame on me for the hotel receptionist fault in room reservation and booking. It ended up for me in paying more than the room rate of hotel.com.

I've been told that hotel is close to the town center, which is kinda correct and one of the well known hotels of all Russia. As far as I understand, Azimut was the state hotel chain during soviet era. They have been restored and in still use. Hired a single room for one night. The room was single indeed with a single bed. It was uncomfortablly small and felt like a prison cage. Bath doesn't even have a shower tray (forget about a bathtub) and stinks of moist. It was winter season when I visited and I paid 1400Rubles (just a little bit under 35USD) for one night and I actually do not know what I expected for this kind of price. If you do not keep your expectations high and need a place only for sleep for one night, it is a cheap and acceptable option. Drink a lot at the night clubs, come pass out on the bed, wake up in the morning and check out. Do not think of resting and relaxing at the hotel. It has a nice Volga view by the way, since it is just beside the river bank. The walkway along the river may be full of people and fun during summer season.
