Somerset Palace Seoul was an okay stay overall, with the biggest advantage being the convenience of a serviced apartment. The extra space and apartment-style setup make it a practical choice for longer stays or families. That said, the property is showing its age, and many areas could benefit from refurbishment. The breakfast was average, with a very limited selection. On one morning, we asked if an omelette could be prepared and were told that there were no eggs available because all the eggs had already been boiled—a response that was quite surprising. The breakfast experience was further impacted by the fact that there was only one coffee machine, which often resulted in queues during peak hours. We had also requested a higher-floor room with a view. While the hotel did allocate a room facing the palace, the floor was so low that there was very little view to speak of. It felt as though the request was not accommodated. Overall, the convenience of a serviced apartment is the property's main strength. However, the aging facilities, average breakfast, and limited attention to room preferences make this more of an average stay than a memorable one.

Spacious rooms with all necessary amenities (including a washing machine in our case). Clean and quiet. Close to many attractions in Seoul. Breakfast was good with enough variety of food. Staff members were friendly and very professional. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Some of the room furnishings could use an update (wallpaper peeling here and there, furniture showing signs of wear and tear).

Hotel is situated in very good location. It is 5 min walk to the main palace of Seoul. Breakfast was also delicious. Staff is very kind and helpful. We got room with the view to the palace side. In the evening it was really beautiful. Our room was very big, so when our baby was sleeping we could close the door and seat at living room (kinda) for some evening talk:) Almost each room at hotel has kitchen including washing machine. It was super helpful as we could do few times laundry. Overall, it was very worthy and we definitely would come back here for the second time.

Somerset Palace was the perfect spot for our Seoul trip. We were travelling with a young baby and the set up here was perfect. The hotel provided and set us up with a crib. Having a separated space for baby to sleep while we stayed up was essential! The room was a good size, comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was a lifesaver (and they have plenty of highchairs for baby!). Food was tasty and slightly varied each morning. The staff were incredible. All of them were so kind to our daughter and accommodating. I was unsure about location because I really like to be in the center of everything, but this was excellent. We barely took the subway anywhere and were able to hit most of our destinations by foot. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, we didn’t have to walk too far for anything and yet the place was just off by a block or two so it was quiet too. Would definitely recommend staying here!
