Somerset Palace Seoul

Отличное расположение и апарт-номера. В номере есть все, что требуется, даже стиральная машинка, даже порошок для стирки! Ну и отличная кухня с плитой, микроволновкой и всей необходимой посудой/сковородками/кастрюльками, с проточным фильтром для воды. В общем, в этой гостинице можно жить! От метро недалеко, немного пройти. Главный городской дворец тоже рядом, практически за углом, через дорогу. Рядом туристический Инсандон с кафешками и сувенирными лавками. До второго дворца, ручья, Мёндона тоже не далеко. До парка Намсан с телебашней реально дойти пешком. Ну и метро - в пешей доступности две станции разных линий. Автобусные остановки тоже рядом. Персонал доброжелательный. Уборка нормальная, как положено.

Завтрак скудноватый. Лифты некоторые на ремонте, те, которые работают, иногда долго ждать. Но ремонтировать нужно, это нормально, не особо и напрягало.

Die super tolle Lage. Direkt in der Nähe ein Tempel, ein Palast und die Haupteinkaufsstraße. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Billard und Fitnessraum rundeten den Aufenthalt ab. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war das Frühstück…es ist sehr koreanisch, aber ich war ja auch in Korea….also zu erwarten, dass dort landestypische Lebensmittel gab. Es gab aber auch für uns Europäer einiges: Croissant, kleine Brötchen, Toastbrot.

Verbesserung: vielleicht tgl wechselndes Obstangebot beim Frühstück

Très bon emplacement et très bon petit déjeuner

Our deluxe room, 388 sq. ft apartment/hotel provided a very spacious room with a washer/dryer, refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, and hot pot. We enjoyed having a small table to eat as well as a large desk, sofa and TV and lots of storage space, many electrical outlets and ample lights. We had no problem controlling the temperature in our room. The lobby is on the 1st floor and there are 18 floors in the building. Basic breakfast (Korean/Western) is served on the 2nd floor, they provide a wide selection and at times it can be very crowded—we were told that the busy time is 8:30am-9:30 am. The location is very close to Insadong, five minutes from Anguk station, Line 3; two palaces: Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung; Bukchon Hanok village, Yeollin Songhyeon Green Square (garden) and more. In Insadong there are lots of excellent restaurants. If you exit the hotel through the back entrance, you will find a very nice courtyard and a very pretty alley. If you turn right at the alley, after a few minutes you will find Jogyesa Temple on your left. If you turn left at the alley, this will lead you to a shortcut to get to Insadong or the subway station. If you take the elevator to the 18th floor, there is a stairway that takes you to the 19th floor where you have a nice garden and a great view of the city, there is also a pool. The hotel is not brand new but it is clean and everything was in good functioning order. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was quiet; we were on the 17th floor (1710). The convenience store (GS25) on the 1st floor has an ATM machine and you can also add to your T(transit) card. On the 2nd floor of the hotel there is a machine to exchange foreign currency. Although the Somerset is due for a makeover, we enjoyed our stay there.

This is a great hotel/property...very large room with a comfy bed and nice view to the Buddhist Temple (which is worth a visit) The room had a lot of facilities ie washing machine/dryer, iron & ironing board, hairdryer etc. Housekeeping staff were very helpful. location was great - go out the back door and catch the bus to central, way easier than the subway! We thought the hotel was good value. Bonus you can turn off the air-con and open the windows. Handy 711 attached to the building.

Breakfast was so so, probably more the venue than the food....felt like a staff cafeteria not a restaurant.
