Beach Colony Resort

We were relocated to this hotel due to a last minute reservation issue with the previous hotel. The first room we had was very dirty and even after they attempted to clean it, we were moved to another room. The second room smelled of cigarettes even after the maintenance tried spraying a deodorizing spray. We were moved to a third room which was carpeted and had quite the mold/mildew smell. The fourth room was finally ok but it took a couple of days of moving our family around to get an appropriate room. The restrooms near the pool were often dirty and had an odor. The staff was very nice and helped get us to the final room. They were understanding of our frustration of moving and did give us a credit back due to the inconvenience. The stress of moving around and the time it took to do so definitely ate into our vacation which was frustrating. We went on vacation to relax and ended up being very stressed out initially.

Great place honestly you get what you paid for there was stains on the floor under the couch seemed to be like a big coffee stain the pans were not the best would be nice if they replaced them everything utensils and pots and pans that’s used to cook should be replaced

Everything was very handy! Cleanliness was fair. Parking garage was difficult but overall we liked it. Lots of activities too for children and adults!

To be in an executive suite, I was highly disappointed you can tell the room had not been clean. The microwave had dust on it and you can write your name. Had to call Maintenance a couple of times about the TVs in life. Had to go downstairs to get towels.

Long wait to check in and we had to keep having our key cards reset. Air Conditioner quit second night. We was brought a box fan and dehumidifier. Maintenance did fix it the next morning. Rooms wasn't very clean.but this place had a nice lawn area and plenty of pools plus arcade.

We go to Myrtle Beach every year. I was hoping this would be the perfect place with all the amenities. We arrived and was given room 1002. The room was awful! The shower was full of hair and dirt. the sofa bed was old and had an odor. The microwave was dirty with food and coffee pot was not clean. There were bugs and black mold on the ceiling. The beds were uncomfortable. The security lock was broken. From the start we felt the vacation was ruined. We were coughing and feeling itchy. Other rooms were not available with the balcony view we had wanted. We had to shower in the spa for two days. This is something you don't need on vacation. More stress than needed. I feel we should have gotten more money back. I will never go again. I have pictures.

The one way parking garage was the only issue that I had with my stay. I felt like it wasn’t well constructed for emergencies . Only one fan can pass through at a time and one way in and one way out . That caused a delay with us trying to leave out the property .

Old and dated, the parking situation wasn’t ideal, they charged per day. Pictures online were much better then the actual rooms. Location was great, the beachfront was great.

Nice place. It was a little older but had been kept well. Staff was friendly and there was plenty of activities to keep someone busy. The bad, the parking was aweful. There is an additional $10 per day parking fee. Most trucks have to park on the first floor. Parking is extremely tight and when there no more spots then there is no where to park. The security guard told me to park down the road at beach access and walk back with groceries, but make sure to get back down there before 9am or it would charge me also.
