Hilton Garden Inn West Monroe

This has to be one of the WORST stays I've ever had. This is my third stay and the last. Where do I begin? Poor check in experience, employees fighting and arguing at the bar and in the kitchen over the food, lack of food available, PUBIC hairs on the toilet seat and Housekeeping stealing and rummaging through my items! I mean good lord who's at the wheel?! Get me out of here immediately cause I'm done!

Location and cleanliness.

The hotel was having all room carpets cleaned, whether or not you were in the room. Made no sense. This is the busiest weekend travel of the year (Thanksgiving). Our first room - the HVAC didn’t come on. The second room had a lamp that didn’t work, brown water in the toilet (rust) and lots of rust stains in the tub. We wouldn’t even use it. This place needs a lot of updating.

Checked in for a two night stay. Hilton Honors member. Not acknowledged, not greeted. No Honors perks. Rarely anyone at the front desk so be prepared to wait. Supposed to receive a $10 credit, didn't get it. Rooms desperately need a remodel. Rust in shower/tub. Literally took 4 1/2 minutes before hot water got to my room ( actually timed it the second day). Bed was sagging and kept rolling downhill to the edge as that was the slope. Hotel was sold out so no chance of moving to a better room. Next trip I'll be booking a different Hilton property. This one is poorly ran and nobody seems to care.

It was at good location

Staff was rude and they gave handy cap room with no bath tub we didn’t need that . But they were not cooperative . When we booked its day breakfast include . But they have for break fast

Lobby looks nice. Desk was friendly Bed was clean. 5th floor stay. Elevators are in working order. Room is definitely dated. Carpet had all sorts of visible remnants of food- Cheetos/nerds/multiple stains and bright orange stains. Also just a dirty carpet smell. Especially in between the bed/ end table. Around the bed, the carpet was just kinda gross. Seriously not vacuumed. Tub was worn with chips in the porcelain. Shower curtain had a smell to it. We got in after 11pm, and did not want to mess with the carpet- just didn’t walk without something on our feet. We did advise the front desk upon checkout. Breakfast is $15….doesn’t seem worth it, (empty containers) we passed. $144 all in for a 1 night stay. Wont go back unless it’s the only option. Lots of other hotels in that area.
