This hotel has an excellent location, as well as spacious and very comfortable rooms. It also offers a fully equipped gym and a spa, which unfortunately we were not able to enjoy because there was a family with very noisy and restless children, making it impossible to experience the relaxing spa atmosphere we had expected.

The only negative aspect was the way the breakfast staff approached guests. Not only with us, but with other tables as well, they were consistently rude when checking whether breakfast was included or not. In our case, breakfast was included, yet on the first day the lady insisted that it was not. I had to interrupt my meal to show proof of the reservation until she finally went to the reception desk and returned saying it had been a mistake. The same situation happened with nearby tables, even though we had already informed them of our room number at the restaurant entrance.

On arrival there was someone there to take all our luggage to our room. The reception area is quite far back when you go inside and quite dark. It didn't appea very welcoming. The room was good with a bottle of water and a chocolate for us. The bathroom had a deep bath. We did find it slippery to get out of so used a towel to help. The shower was good too. Both with Rituals toiletries. The room was cleaned each day. What let the hotel down was the breakfast room. There just wasn't enough space to get breakfast without waiting for someone to move on. The cereals selection was very poor. To get a decent granola it had to be paid for as extra as did other options. The bread was poor quality too. The food on offer freely was mostly processed. It took ages sometimes to get a cup of tea or coffee. The fruit juice wasn't fresh juice. The cake selection was about the best thing there for me. What was convenient is a bakery across the road and a local coop nearby. It was about 30 minuets walk into the centre and there is a bus route near the hotel too. A taxi to the centre is 10 euros and worth it on a hot day. We didn't use the spa either. It is 20 euros to use the facilities. While there our cousin has a theft of gifts that she had bought out of the room. Part of the items were found and others not. A refund was given once the receipt was produced. For the distress the hotel gave a small box of biscuits! I personally wouldn't use this chain of hotels again because of the extra funds that have to be paid for some quality food at breakfast. The city tax is 5 euros each per night.

Room was comfortable with a modern design and very good noise insulation. Staff were very helpful and friendly. High quality breakfast and dinner. Quiet location.

The breakfast/dining room was not in use on my first night and the 'backup' room was very subpar (lighting/seating/ambience). Much better when back in the usual room.
