Very comfortable beds and very clean room

Shower water pressure and heat vary all the time No where to place a second suitcase Refrigerator very small Most dislike the lack of sound proofing from the room above. Constantly hearing of foot steps above No ventilation like and extraction fan in bath room

Stand out hotel in a surprisingly interesting,pretty & quaint old town Hotel has got a colonial, cosy feel. Unusual for Phuket, feels more like Singapore. The lounge & common areas are grand & palatial Staff, typically of Thailand are just lovely. Food was superb & because it's away from the coast very reasonable Cannot recommend this hotel enough

The Courtyard is ideally located on the edge of Phuket Town's center. It's within an easy walk of the main touristy area, but it's mercifully quiet if there happens to be any kind of event happening (Phuket was celebrating Chinese New Year when I visited). There are so many excellent restaurants within a short walk. You could stay a week and still have trouble deciding where to eat. I especially recommend Phakakrong—some of the best food I had on my trip. I stayed in a "junior suite," which indeed has a weird layout as other reviewers have mentioned. You'd expect a junior suite to offer a couch at least, but this room just had a dark, non-functional kitchen/vestibule area with two chairs next to the door. And then a regular hotel room attached to it. However, it was worth it to me to book this type instead of the base room so I could 100% avoid a connecting room door. The bed was great and everything was clean and well-maintained. My only other complaint about the room was that the shower temperature controls were pretty finicky. They might be tough for children or seniors. The pool is nicely shaded in the afternoon and bar staff were always on hand for drinks. Breakfast was fine. The restaurant is spacious, and staff handled multiple large tour groups very well. I also want to mention that Mabel at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with on a few occasions, including when I locked myself out of my room. 🤦‍♂️ It was surprising to me that she was a "trainee" according to her name tag!
