Super 8 by Wyndham Albany

The rooms could use some repairs and new paint. The room was tiny. The bathroom was tiny. It was a bit rundown. The hotel is located by three very busy streets. It's a very loud area. I wore ear plugs and put on some white noise. The curtains didn't cover the entire window so it felt like we didn't have the needed privacy you should have in a hotel. I know this is an economy hotel, but it was close to $200 a night, Not a good value at all. Apparently it's racing season so the rooms in the Albany area were higher everywhere. If we had paid only $80 for this room I would not have minded so much, but it felt like we were gouged.

Horrible breakfast. A slice of bread, two bagels, 5 mini donuts and moldy cream cheese. Such garbage, also couldn't even take the bagel that I did have back to the room. Give me a break, I'm not a child.

Nothing. This hotel should be condemned for poor plumbing. The properly slelled like sewage

Poor cleaniness

Every time I stay here, I have a different experience. This was the third distinct room I've experienced. I think we got a free upgrade, from a queen to a king. What we got was a time capsule. The left side was reasonable. An old suite. Clean and appealing. The right side... where the old, unusable jacuzzi remains and a bathroom that, unlike all the other rooms I've stayed in there, needs serious renovations. Again, all other rooms have renovated bathrooms. Even the handle of the water in the shower came off. A different experience. This will be a great room should it ever be renovated.

Super Loud Car traffic day and night. It feels and sounds like the cars drive in your room.

The room was actually a pleasantly clean and newer, bed was comfortable. No one was there for check out - which was my first issue; I found out later they charged my credit card double. Upon calling the manager Gary, asked me to call the bank and call him back with them as he did not see it, which I did. On the call with bank he said he would gladly refund it once bank told him there was a double charge and I would see it in 7-10 business days, the bank concured. That was July 3,2025. I waited. Started calling Gary on July 14. Leaving message, after message being told to call back at different time. Never got to Gary again. On July 18 I was given another manager who wouldn't give me his name and told me "There is no charge-go dispute it" he was extremely rude wouldn't even listen to what I was (actually nicely ) saying till this point.

Obviously Customer service. Someone there at check out , a staff that actually did the job they are there to do.
