The property and its surroundings are beautiful. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are kept in a great condition. The gardens and grounds are also well kept. There is a wide selection at breakfast time. The staff provided a warm welcome, and there are some amazing individuals working there. The Guest Relations Manager seemed responsive to guest concerns.

Unfortunately, the resort is let down by the on-site restaurants. All but one offer a poor level of service with inept staff and long waits on food and placing orders. The Scausu Grill was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The buffet restaurant is €45 per head but there is no warning until after you’ve eaten - don’t be caught out here. We also had concerns over the welfare of the stray cats which live in the grounds of the resort. We did raise our concerns with the management and were offered a complimentary meal which was a nice gesture, but it didn’t improve the service. We were promised that the cat’s welfare would be addressed with the General Manager, I really hope this is the case as we and many other guests were heartbroken seeing some of these animals.

Daily buffet breakfast was exceptional. Fresh fruit station every day was great. Lovely comfy bed and bedding, very good air conditioning. Room has robes and slippers as a standard offering and bottle of water replenished daily. À la carte restaurants were very good. The staff at Donna Floriana’s were absolutely standout. Paola was incredibly warm and welcoming. Made us feel so relaxed. Miriam, Giovana and Domenica were prompt and attentive. The sushi restaurant has an amazing sunset and view of Mt Etna. Great for an evening drink before dinner. Hotel interior design is modern and on trend but the outside is a little dated.

Bookers beware! The lovely wooden decking (solarium) area does not look as it shown in the images. I imagine this is a CGI design that is yet to come. Entrance to the water is from the rocks and off rusted ladders. Which isn’t terrible, I just think it’s false advertising. I’ve included a photo of the black wood and metal railing with mesh wire. The lunch/dinner buffet offering was very limited when we stayed. I imagine it was due to low capacity in the hotel as it was the first week of June, but there was not a lot to choose from during these meals. One of the à la carte restaurants that we really wanted to try hadn’t opened yet leaving a limited offering if we weren’t eating dinner at the buffet. Which we didn’t as per comment above. Not walking distance to Brucoli town centre due to the water inlet. Not enough outdoor lighting in some of the common areas at night time. I actually fell down a short slight of steps due to poor visibility and bruised my knees (and my ego). Only one pillow per person in the room. Pool towels are very small. These might all seem like little things, but the all inclusive price of the hotel is not cheap. Had I paid for the all inclusive rate, I’d expect some of these finer details to be perfect.

Magnifique hôtel, les vues sont magnifiques, c’est très agréable de s’y balader, la piscine principale est immense et superbe Malgré le nombre de chambres dans l’établissement, nous nous sentions vraiment paisibles et au calme (nous étions en Juin) La piscine et les jeux pour enfants un vrai plus Bon accueil, gentillesse avec les enfants Activités en journée, live music le soir très agréable

Les restaurants de l’hôtel sont assez chers et Il manque un snack ou épicerie pour grignoter un en-cas à bas prix L’accès à la mer est difficile depuis l’hôtel Chambre standard assez sombre mais c’est OK

It was clean, most stuff very polite, great location.

Bar staff not as attentive, breakfast would run out of food, the sunbathing platform did not seem to be very secure. The hotel is tired and it’s very expensive for that it offers. It can be improved hugely
