Courtyard Marriott Lake Placid

Very nice stay

The suites are good value for a couple of nights stay in Lake Placid. Our suite was dated and looked the same as it did over ten years back. Definetly due for a refurb soon, however it was clean and comfortable and suited our purposes for a few days of R & R! As Titanium Elite members we would receive a basic daily breakfast at the restaurant just off the refurbished and comfortable Lobby area which features a huge stone fireplace! No doubt this is a busy place in high season, however our stay in the off season was quiet with few guests and quite relaxing, the pool and gym we had to ourselves and the hotel peaceful and serene!

I wouldn’t stay here again. I expected a better quality hotel. The shower wall/ceiling was peeling, the coffee table in the room was cracked, there was no hair conditioner in the dispenser, the tv menu was marked by previous guests. The AC was very loud so I had to shut it off. I had a view of the mountains which nice.

The "breakfast buffet" was not a buffet. It was not worth the money it cost. You chose from a very limited menu and i wouldn't call it a restaurant. Very disappointing, very misleading. Not worth $46 that i paid when booking the hotel.

The bed was not very comfortable. The sheets were slipping off during the night.

1. The room price is high (should have breakfast included). 2. The bonfire place should have more seating arrangements 3. Drinks should be served till late in the evening, especially over the weekends. 4. The pool area was not well maintained.
