Hilton Garden Inn Beaumont, TX

My husband and I checked in this past Friday, 1/5 for one night. From the minute we walked in, it was amazing. Miranda and Quin, thank you for making us feel so special. Being a HH Diamond Member, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the King Premium Room w/in-room snacks. Great TV and wonderful bed .. lots of lighting in the room. Tons of plugs in the room, which was a plus! We didn't stay for breakfast .. had to get on the road early. Highly recommend this property!

A new hotel but the door lock to our room just did not work even though lady on desk came up at least 3 times to let us in, we should have asked to move rooms. The dinner was worse I have had in a HGInn. Menu items were off....settled for salmon, really small portion. $20 . Breakfast was even worse! No buffet which makes HGInn worth staying in, no hot water for tea, one guy trying to handle it all. The hot tub was working but is outside and air was only 42 so declined use.

The receptionist were extremely polite and helpful. The grounds and hotel were immaculate and easily accessible to the freeway and other facilities.

Warning: get comfortable. Business traveler here. I’m in Beaumont regularly. I usually stay somewhere else, but thought I’d try out this place because my normal accommodation doesn’t have a bar and restaurant area within it. I’m not staying here again though. It has some positives, I will say. The cookies they make for guests are awesome. However, if the staff doesn’t feel like it, they don’t make them. When they were available, it was a nice way to end the day as they were delicious! Ok, enough about cookies. I enjoyed the bar/restaurant when Christine was working. She recommended a ribeye, and the cook did not disappoint! She was friendly and attentive. The room furnishings were nice enough, and the bathroom was fine. The showers had good pressure, and lots of towels were provided. Most of the staff with which I interacted were lovely. The Keurig machine in the room is a nice feature, but I had to buy my own k-cups because the brand they provided were awful. Also housekeeping kept leaving more decaf than regular k-cups. And the coffee proved in the lobby was tasteless. As you can tell, I’m starting to go into the not-so-positive stuff. The coffee, for some, is a minor issue that can be overlooked. Do know that you WILL hear the Highway noise and road construction in your room. I use a sound machine and talk radio to sleep; so it didn’t bother me at all. The bigger issue was the bedding … they had feather pillows or lumpy pillows. There was no other option. I asked at the front desk for a different pillow, but it was the same experience (or they just didn’t bother to change it). The beds aren’t bad but they’re not great. The mattresses are hard under the pillow top cover, and the sheets were scratchy. My experience may be less of an issue for others. I’m the first to admit that I’m spoiled when it comes to my bed and bedding. Also, I do think they should have a hard copy of their hotel services in the room. Most of the time, the page brought up by the QR code wasn’t working. My last morning there, I worked from the hotel and had hoped to call down to the restaurant to order breakfast ahead so that I could bring it up to the room. No such luck because of the tech glitches which meant no menu. So I went down to order. The woman at the restaurant counter decided she needed to take a call on her personal phone on speakerphone because she had to make an appointment for an MRI. I am not worried about her privacy because she hollered across the lobby to every employee and guest within earshot after the call to announce it. I’m not sure if that was for my benefit to explain why she blew me off to take a call while standing in front of me or because she wanted everyone to know. What I DO know is that in a customer-facing position, your personal business, unless it’s an emergency, isn’t supposed to be handled while a customer stands there for 10 minutes. I worked in the service industry, in customer-facing positions, for 15 years before taking my current position behind the scenes. I don’t miss it, and I can empathize with and understand the pressures of the position. I cannot get over the tether people have to their phones these days. They should not be out on the counter so that you can look at them every 15 seconds. And if a call comes in, if it’s not an emergency, ignore it! There is a reason that voicemail is included in calling plans. I’m not talking about just young people. This woman was older than me. It was just rude. She finally flagged down the cook and asked him to take my order, after she pretty much wrapped up her phone call. I’m hoping the tip I left went to him. I think his name was Lonnie. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience of lots of small things that kept adding up to make my decision to not give my or my company’s money to this establishment in the future.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn. We were traveling to New Orleans for Thanksgiving and wanted to break up the trip into two days. We looked at hotels in Beaumont and decided on the Hilton Garden Inn because of the location, right off I10 and we read good reviews. The lobby is bright, spacious and well decorated. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and welcoming. Check in was quick. Our room was on the 2nd floor. It was on the smallish side but was well laid out with everything we needed. The bathroom had a largish shower stall. Would have liked more counter space, but it was sufficient. All in all, a clean, quiet room. We had a good night sleep. Please note, they do not offer complimentary breakfast. We ordered the breakfast sandwich in the morning and it was very good. Would definitely stay here again.

We were so impressed with this property. Very clean, safe, convenient to everything. Staff was so friendly and efficient. We will definitely return.

The bed was so uncomfortable the pillows wore out very noisy room next to the construction site no free breakfast shame shame on this motel at the price !

Great experience very clean

The hotel and staff are great. The only downside is all the road construction in this whole area. But when road construction is complete, it will be nice.

We had to get a accessible room because we have a wheelchair-bound family member and the room far exceeded any expectations that we had. It was absolutely beautiful room, great for you, the pool had a lift for our family member to swim, it was just a wonderful room especially for someone who build a disability it made things so much more pleasant for our trip. The staff was outstanding. Super outgoing. The daytime front desk employee went well out of her way to suggest ideas for us to have fun while we were visiting and she was extremely accommodating and the rest of the staff was just as great.
