Residence Inn by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown/Bricktown

Location was good, close to the stadium and just a short walk to downtown.

No housekeeping, couldn’t get fresh towels or top up on toilet paper after following up 3 times over 3 days. Staff were disinterested- no recommendations on places to eat when you asked, just basically said they don’t eat out so don’t know. And the pool has been drained with no expected completion date.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants.

The sofa bed mattress is extremely uncomfortable.

Clean, predictable. Comfortable.

The first day I was there they notified us that the water would be off beginning at 10:00am. Then the next day they notified us that they would be doing something on the third floor re the carpets and that would also start at 10:00 am and would require access to the ROOMS! Excuse me, but I think we ought to be entitled to quiet enjoyment of out rooms thru check out. Also, the Res Inns have a lovely apartment like set up with a dishwasher and plates and silverware and everything. But my previous trip it was clear that stuff was run through the dishwasher but didn’t get clean and had gunk caked onto it, but they put it away like that! Also, there are no dish towels or paper towels or even napkins, which seems weird for a kitchen and is inconvenient. Finally, they only service the rooms every other day, which sucks because having a nice fresh room is one of the things I expect in a hotel. And if I am only there 2 nights that means my room is never serviced. But the wastebaskets are tiny. One day and they are full. So Tuesday I asked.the front desk for housekeeping to service my room because the trash cans were full. So I came back that evening and the trashcans were emptied and I was given more towels, but NOTHING ELSE WAS DONE. The bed wasn’t made. The dishes weren’t washed or put away. Nothing. And I had left a $10 tip! I have NEVER seen that happen that you would ask them to service the room and they literally only empty the trashcans!

When I was working on bookings for feb 14th the dates moved to the next weekend and would not let me change them. So you booking charged me even after I cancelled, less then 5 minutes later.
