Hyatt Regency Coralville

We had been here once before and really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and attractive, and the staff are professional, friendly and efficient. The restaurant and Regency Club are both quite good. We like the pool, hot tub and fitness center, which have all been well maintained. The grounds are nicely landscaped with a great walkway and should be experienced.. We had a minor snafu with our 2:00 Explorist member late checkout request, but Matt at the front desk checked with the general manager , who then okayed it. Our granddaughter is now enrolled at the University of Iowa, so we expect to stay again many times in the future.

I recently planned an event for my organization, and we hosted a large statewide conference at the Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From the earliest planning stages through the final attendee departure, the Hyatt team was an incredible partner every step of the way. The pre-planning support was exceptional, the site visit was thorough and thoughtful, and the on-site service was second to none. Shannon and her team consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled, often anticipating needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was assisting with changes on short notice, helping coordinate breaks and meals, supporting our crazy ideas, or managing the countless behind-the-scenes details that make a conference successful, they truly took the best care of us. The hotel itself is beautiful, conveniently located in the Iowa River Landing area, and offers excellent meeting and event space, making it an ideal destination for conferences and events. The staff's commitment to hospitality and customer service is what truly sets this property apart. The conference facilities are extensive and well-equipped for groups of all sizes. No event is ever perfect, and we did receive some attendee feedback that was a little less than perfect. What impressed me most was the team's willingness to listen to feedback and engage in constructive conversations about the guest experience. Their professionalism and dedication to continuous improvement only reinforced why I would choose to work with them again. If you're considering the Hyatt Coralville for a conference, meeting, wedding, or personal stay, I highly recommend it. Our attendees had a wonderful experience, and I look forward to bringing future events back to Coralville and working with this exceptional team again.

Clean and updated. Our king room had a chaise lounge if we ever needed our young daughter to stay with us as well.

Paying for parking

The property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are nice. The staff there are so nice! Minna, who works the front desk, is amazing and unforgettable! She’s beautiful, helpful, courteous, but also hilarious! I enjoy the Iowa library and the artwork throughout.

My only MINOR complaint is the poor lighting in the bathrooms (would be okay if even a smaller lighted mirror was available for makeup application). Not complaints but ideas for the venue- consider extending the pool area to allow for an outdoor pool/hot tub/tanning area. Would have been cool if there was an event there- live music or dj to see given I don’t believe anything was booked on the event rooms…

Nice hotel with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Hotel staff is very accommodating and welcoming. If you are visiting the Iowa City/Coralville area this is a great place to stay.

This hotel does not disappoint. We were there 4 years ago and were so impressed we booked it again for our short road trip south. It is a clean property. Friendly staff. What impressed us most was the back of the hotel. There is a beautiful walking path. So if you happened to have eaten too much and want to wear off the calories, this place is for you. It is within walking distance of several restaurants, and the nice Von Maur store.

Wow, this is an amazing hotel! Beautiful, clean, quiet, elegant rooms and a great location. The people on staff were 100% helpful and kind. One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at!
