Hyatt Regency Coralville

Staff was very welcoming and helpful, especially with corporate credit card issues during a late-night check-in. I felt personally welcomed by each staff member I encountered, and the stay was very relaxing.

Excellent accommodations, service, and food. The staff was great. They were helpful and attentive. The area around the Landing in is beautiful. I was upgraded to a room with a view of the river. They've done a great job landscaping and designing the area. I lived seeing people walking along the riverfront.

Breakfast was fine, orange juice, decaf coffee with cream and sweetener, three blueberry pancakes, and three slices of tasty bacon. The buffet breakfast which I had enjoyed on a previous stay and which I expected is served only on weekends, which I did not know when I booked this time. Dinner was not so good. I ordered the sirloin steak, medium rare, which it was. But the outside was charred to burned, and the inside was tough and grisly. The beef fat French fries were drenched in fat, which made them not very tasty--too much fat taste and not enough potato taste. The meal was almost inedible. The only good thing about the meal was the salad which came with the steak, and the salad was very nice. I left most of the French fries on my plate and about one-fourth of the steak. The server asked if I wanted a box for what I had left on my plate, and I said, "No." The room was very nice, spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. There was no shortage of hot water in the bathroom.

Everything about this visit went well. I was there for a conference in April. I was greeted at the desk by a delightful woman with pink hair (sorry for not remembering her name). She covered everything I wanted to know without me having to ask and she was pleasant the entire time. She made me feel like I was a valued customer. I can't say enough about how professional and kind she was. Parking was convenient. The room was clean. Every area of the hotel I frequented was clean. Staff was friendly. As a conference venue, it can be a workout in terms of distance between breakout sessions. That's a trivial thing, though. There is nothing wrong with some extra steps. I know I need to do more.

Wow staying at the Hyatt Regency was quite the experience. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Probably on the medium-soft side of the spectrum. There’s a really cool dimmer switch between the beds that can help you slowly turn on the hallway light so you don’t have to go from dark to bright as the sun right when you wake up. Lots of outlets everywhere you need them. The river view rooms have a fabulous view. There’s a constructed wetland behind the hotel with lots of birds and other Midwest wildlife. Really cool to have out your back door. Breakfast was kind of expensive but filling and tasty. Parking in the parking garage was very easy! All in all, great place to stay and I would love to stay there again.

Location is close to the hospital and close to the university of Iowa campus. The room had beautiful bird designs and everyone in the hotel was very polite and sweet. The food was so good. When I came I planned to order Uber Eats but then I realized the room service food was both cheaper in price and better in quality than outside restaurants so I ended up ordering room service for the trip. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. It’s in a safe area. I really liked it and can’t wait to go back.

Great hotel and venue. Great team of staff members that were engaging, attentive and friendly to interact with. Very responsive to all my requests. Very clean, comfortable, and exceptional value for the $. Great for business travelers, families or solo vacationers. I was visiting a friend and attending a wedding at an off-site location. The hotel was full yet remained quiet in the room areas.
