Koh Chang Paradise Resort & Spa

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as a family of three, hoping to have the best time with our 5-year-old son. After a month apart as a family, this trip meant a lot to us, and we specifically chose this hotel for its water park. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out about restrictions on the water park that weren’t mentioned anywhere on the hotel website or booking platforms. As parents, it was so frustrating to break a promise to our child, and the way the front desk handled it didn’t help—they lacked the training to deal with such situations in a professional or compassionate way. That said, I have to give credit to Alex at the front desk. Even though he couldn’t fix the problem, he showed empathy and went out of his way to make the situation a little better. That’s the kind of attitude you expect from a good professional hotelier. As for the rest of the experience, the room was okay—not modern or stylish, just a bit dated. What we loved most was the beachfront location—it was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The fire show was a lovely surprise too! Breakfast was a mixed bag: the international options were pretty basic, but the Asian dishes had variety and tasted great. The real stars here were the F&B staff and the security team at the front—they were friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. Overall, the location and some staff made up for the hiccups, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Having travelled some 30 times to Thailand and explored many beautiful islands and beaches, why does this hotel and place keep pulling me back? I am in Thailand for a month from the 16th of October 2024 and booked directly with the hotel, having stayed here six or seven times before for periods of about five days. This time I booked for 13 nights. The reason? There are many, not least that I have a fitness regime to work at having broken my knee skiing a while ago. So, the beach is perfect for a good mile and a half walk, followed by swimming twice a day. Let’s start with the beach, it really is one of the best beaches in Thailand, beautiful soft sand, very safe swimming for kids and adults alike, sometimes some good waves at times - today I am looking at a beautiful flat blue sea. The rooms are lovely, very comfortable set in tropical gardens, butterflies everywhere, very few insects to worry about and the odd red squirrels leaping in the trees which are everywhere. Delightful place to sit and drink coffee on your balcony. Breakfast is awesome, with a huge choice of dishes to delight anyone’s palate. But I think one of the main reasons I come back here and not go to different places, are the people who work here - from the ladies who clean the rooms who are always ready with a very quick smile, to the young men who sweep the pathways every day and trim the trees, who always say a cheery good morning. The waiting staff, always smiling, and as for the reception team, I can’t fault them. So my usual six days, extended to 13 for this trip, and I have decided to stay another 14 days rather than trek to two or three different islands. They worked very hard to make sure that I could stay in my room close to the beach for most of it but I will be moving back into the trees for the last few days, no problem at all. And Koh Chang has lots to offer, plenty of good quality but low price restaurants, enough nightlife if you want it, and many wonderful places to visit, waterfalls, temples, and boat trips to tiny deserted islands. Want to lift your spirits? Then come here … ❤️

The staff are incredible and work very hard to ensure you have a good stay. The breakfast buffet is very good, lots to choose from. The pool area is really nice and relaxing and our room is great, very big comfortable bed. Great value for money and I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Koh Chang.

What a wonderful stay! Have been doted on by all staff, such excellent service. Big thanks to Nop for his hospitality. We met Alex who, despite other reviews, was super helpful with our quest to watch the AFL Grand Final. We (2A+2C) stayed in a family pool villa which was very spacious, just watch out for the terracotta tiles that are slippery when wet. It was super quiet too, in the first week of WA Sept school holidays. The weather was perfect and we were glad for some cloudy days to keep the temperature down. The water park was fun and we often had it to ourselves! The hotel restaurant had a variety of options including kid-friendly non spicy dishes. Oh and don’t forget about happy hour twice a day! Buy 1 get 1 free cocktails is a big winner! There’s a 7-11 within easy walking distance for snacks, and lots of restaurants a short (50THB pp) taxi ride away. We will be back!!

Paradise Resort was a wonderful place to stay. Our family had several bungalows rented and they were delightful. The staff was excellent - always friendly and helpful. And the breakfast buffet was one of the best I've seen. I enjoyed my stay so much!

Great property with friendly helpful staff. The only things that could make it better are jacuzzi and if we have a microwave in the room.

I forhold til prisen er det temmelig slidt. Masser af detaljer der ikke er ok. Og så var der hul i taget så da det regnede en dag kom vandet lige ned i vores klædeskab så alt tøjet blev vådt. I forhold til listeprisen som var 32000,00 dkr for seks overnatninger havde vi forventet meget mere. Er glad for at vi fik det til 8000,00 dkr på tilbud.

Wonderful beachfront resort on koh Chang . Beachfront pool villa was amazing ! The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve had anywhere ! Fire show was really great as well. Staff are very kind and helpful. Excellent stay !

Great hotel with 1st class bungalows on the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bungalow was great and steps from a beautiful beach. Great service and food at resort was terrific. This was our second stay here and it remains a well run resort, doesn't cut corners.
