Holiday Inn Express and Suites Allentown West by IHG

My stay at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Allentown West by IHG was very comfortable, beyond my expectations, friendly, and enjoyable. I definitely would recommend it and would book again.

I was there from 8/8 to 8/10 and all I can said is the hotel needs a serious upgrade. There was a lot noticeable patch work all over the hotel that were sloppily done. You want to go cheap on labor you get what you paid for. I been to other Holiday inn Express hotel and I haven’t seen one like this. Let me tell you about the shower in room 312, the shower knob was hard to turn and the water pressure was bad. I turn the shower to cool the water down but it didn’t cool down, the next turn that I made turned off the shower. lol. I know people find it convenient to been close to certain attractions but you if you willing to overlook these things you are more then welcome to stay here. Also the internet suck big time!!! The positives of the hotel were the staff, breakfast and the pool that my grandkids enjoyed. There is a lot of potential for this hotel is they can fixed it up correctly.

Nice free breakfast and a convenient location for my needs. Rooms was clean and they seem to be in the process of updating some rooms.

The Bad, My Room to put it simple... the bathroom was dirty. There was what I thought was mold at first but no it was paint stained all over shower floor. But dont get me wrong the whole shower didnt look clean it was so bad I stood on wash cloths not to step on floor of shower. There was stains and such shabby work done on the room I am not sure which was worse. The window was so dirty you couldnt see out but it had paint splatter on it. Either there was really noisy guests upstairs or next door or walls are paper thin. The pool was small but was comfortable to swim in. Location was only a few minutes from dorney park.

The staff was very friendly and addressed my concerns regarding issues with the toilet . Their breakfast has a lot of options - the kids enjoyed,The suite I stayed in was spacious but the hotel definitely needs an update. My room was not clean . Carpet needed vacuuming - the floor was sticky in the bathroom and kitchenette area . The lamp shades had dust and were cracked . The couch and chairs with fabric had stains . The tv kept glitching -I couldn’t watch a full show without an interruption. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights and did not spend a ton of time in the room as we were there to enjoy Dorney park - which is not far from the hotel .

it was nice experience 10/10, i came with my family n all was good, good food n good everything, i recommend this to all the people that i know

Lots of construction in that area

Everything was fine until we went to breakfast, the girl who works has a very bad attitude and they start taking breakfast at 9:30 am when it is supposed to be served until 10 am. That means that if you go after 9:30 am you won't be able to have breakfast, what a shame because the hotel is good but with problems to have breakfast quietly it's not worth going back 😔

Excellent place to stay! This is our second year coming here.
