Hotel Villas Plat

What an amazing location. I wish we stayed longer.

Superfriendly staff and nice that it’s so close to the sea and lovely big pool but the beds were horrible and we had birds nesting on the balcony and with that a lot of birdpoop. Ok for just one night but I could not stay there for a longer time. But convenient with minimarket and restaurants in the hotel.

Value for money.

Amazing

We loved our stay at villas plat. All the staff that we had contact with were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautifully clean and the pool area is beautiful. The location was good with a direct boat and bus to Dubrovnik old town and to the nearby town of cavtat. There are a few restaurants but don’t expect fine dining. The bay is really nice (Jeff bezos’ yacht and support boat turned up one day). There are a few small public beaches adjacent to the resort. The downside is that the grounds include some unused buildings - it’s not clear what the plan for these is, and it would be better if they weren’t there, but they are easily ignored, and that our room could do with a bit of maintenance even though it was very clean. Very easy to get to and from the airport (€12 via uber).

There are a lot of stairs and no elevators/lifts. Stayed on the 3rd floor and had to traverse several flights of stairs to get to our assigned building, then traverse 3 additional flights of stairs to get to our room. Beautiful pool and nice beach (rocky-bring water shoes), both of which require climbing up/down a lot of stairs. Pool bar, beach bar and cafe accept cash only. Missing out on a lot of revenue by not accepting credit cards. No pool towels and staff won't readily give out extra towels to use. Chairs on the beach are ten Euros to rent, regardless if you are staying at the hotel or not. No wifi in rooms. Limited TV channels. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. The cafe has an amazing grilled chicken salad. Nice convenience store on the property that accepts credit cards.

Great place

The ac was broken and dripping in one of the rooms that we had to squish with the kids in 1 room , there was no iron for the clothes , the hair dryer is old and slow, And i could not for the life of me locate a safe in the room to lock away belongings, The breakfast says included but it ends at 930 am and we were not aware that it ended so early since we are used to breakfast endding the latest 11am , Thus we missed our free breakfast

This is a review for the American traveler. I am an American but live in Germany. I have traveled extensively in Europe. Pros ✅ *Clean rooms *Great AC *mini refg *Nice balcony *Take the breakfast option out of necessity as you aren't near anywhere to grab a bite. There is a kitchenette with two burners, pots/pans. *maintenance was quick to come to room. Cons❌ *no wifi in rooms or pool *A lot of walking steps to any villa, pool, or beach. This hotel is not for anyone with limited mobility, nor is Dubrovnik. *Breakfast food isn't the best but it is edible. *Pool towels are not available. As an American, I call any oversized towel a “beach towel”. My mistake asking the front desk for a beach towel when in reality I was going to the pool. When I corrected myself to say “pool towel” I was informed “no” because I just said I was going to the beach. So if you fail to bring your beach towel call it a pool towel. *Hair dryer is a wall unit—if you have any thickness this isn't an option to dry your hair in a timely manner. *Shower shoots water against the back wall causing it to pour onto the floor. You need extra towels to dry. To use the shower you must not turn it to full capacity. *no safe in room *no iron * pool bar and restaurant are cash only! There is an ATM (yellow) with high fees. Get cash at a bank ATM for less fees and better exchange rates. *Pool bar—cash only! This pool bar business is missing out on so much money by not taking a cc/charge to room. *Dated decor
