Really nice historic inn with a very good restaurant. We stayed in the Washington suite which is reasonably priced and very comfortable. The owners do all the cooking in the restaurant and both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. It is rumored that the ghost of a Confederate soldier wanders the building, but we didn't run into him. We most highly recommend the Lafayette Inn for your stay in Virginia near if near Skyline drive.

Peaceful and quite, the antique decor and the large windows.

this is a restored historic property with its own restaurant. A home-cooked breakfast is included in the price. Good food at a good price, clean quiet rooms. Lots of stairs.

It was, clearly, an old building that had been skillfully and respectfully updated to accommodate modern traveler's needs. The Tyler suite was large, comfortable, and delightful. This spot is not to be missed if you want a quiet, leisurely trip. Also only about 12 miles from the Shanandoah National Park which is a wonderful place to visit.

Historic building. Breakfast was very good. Service was excellent.

This is a beautiful historical property with a top notch personal touch. Loved every minute of it, including the delicious meals at the restaurant. Cannot wait to go back!

Beyond my expectation! Wonderful stay

What a grand old hotel. We were in the Washington suite and were greeted with champagne and chocolate chip cookies. Our short stay was topped off with a choice of full breakfast and great conversation with the owner. What a great find!
