Room with private pool had a great view. Hotel swimming pools were fantastic. Buggy system to get you around the resort was quick.

We found the staff to be quite slow to respond at times during our stay. When we had an accident, it took a while for assistance to be arranged to bring us to a doctor, and we were told there would be a charge for help, which we hadn’t expected and found frustrating. Hotel is set on the side of a steep hill, which we found made walking around a bit difficult, and it felt quite isolated from the nearby village. We found the mattress quite firm. We asked about a topper or alternative, but unfortunately nothing was available during our stay. The main restaurant has a lovely beachfront setting. When we visited for dinner it was quiet (only a couple of other tables), and while the food was fine, it was the most expensive we experienced during our 6-week trip. We also ended up preferring the food options in the nearby village. The room would have benefited from a small table and chairs for eating. The beach is very picturesque, although we found swimming a bit tricky due to rocks and stones. We used the boat transfer to Samui, and noticed our luggage was damaged upon arrival. We were not happy with the response and resolution to our inquiry on the damaged luggage.

We had a lovely holiday here, and chose a ‘hideaway room with pool’ which was amazing. We were concerned about insect bites but in reality, there was no problem at all. Breakfast is amazing. The roads in Koh Phangan can be a challenge for those that lack experience but well worth renting a scooter (125 isn’t powerful enough for riding with a pillion).

Really special! We absolutely loved this place. Its more than just a hotel, its a wellness retreat, where you eat wonderful food, swim, rest, and relax. The staff are what makes this place, everyone was so so friendly, making us feel so welcome, exceptional service. We felt like royalty! Our rooms were stunning, amazing views and beautiful design. The little touches like the bag you can use for pool & the lemon grass oil in your room were lovely. The breakfast was impressive, such a huge choice, the coconut pancakes, overnight oats and french toast were among our favourites. The location is really special, set in a quiet corner of the island, and amazing views. The hotel is beautifully designed, wooden, stunning flowers, amazing pool and lovely little beach. everything is super relaxed, no fighting for sunbeds or queues for anything. You scan a QR code to order drinks and food to your sunbed, which the kids loved! The app for dinner wasnt so much fun, I did feed this back to the hotel, they really need to provide paper menus, like all of the other restaurants (rather than an ipad being shared amongst a family of 4). Food in the hotel is superb. We also ate in the local restaurants, a short 15 mins into the small town, across the beach. Our fave was 'Moon soon', we also had a lovely lunch at 'Sand in my shoes', which was one of the first restaurants you come to as you walk along the beach from the hotel. I wouldnt bother with the expensive hotel restaurants, '55 beach' was expensive and underwhelming, very poor service. We explored the island for the day and went to some beaches and view points, which was lovely, although wouldnt rush back to 'Mae Haad' beach, the main beach next to the hotel (just over the rocks) is much nicer. Taxi boats can you take you to different beaches for the day. Back at the hotel we also enjoyed the sunrise yoga & I had the best massage I have ever had at the spa, which is just stunning, this really made my stay. Last mention, the transfer from Samui was seamless too, we had a wonderful welcome, nice wait in an aircon room and transfer by speedboat to hotel. All in all a wonderful stay, we would love to return one day. Thank you to all the staff at Santhiya for making our holiday so special.
