Arenal Manoa & Hot Springs Resort

This resort exceeded my expectations. The grounds are beautiful and the service is top-notch. We stayed in a Chato Suite which was even more amazing than the photos show. The main pool was fun and lively, and we enjoyed the food and beverages we had onsite. Breakfast is expansive and delicious, and we loved going back to find a new animal and treat in our room each night.

Had a fantastic time here as our family visited Costa Rica for the first time. This hotel was a perfect retreat before and after our adventures in the surrounding areas. The staff, service, food, springs, and accommodations were great. Breakfast and lunch were both amazing. The fact that the breakfast is included as part of your stay is such a huge draw. The quality was excellent. Lunch is less attended because you have to pay out of pocket but the food quality is superb. Will gladly pay for what we got given the ease/convenience and the awesome views/ambiance you get when dining there. The views from the main dining area are also so nice. We saw some wild animals around there as well on the rest of the property. It seems that each room has a view of the volcano. For us it was raining all week so the clouds covered the top of the volcano for our entire stay but the view was still breathtaking. It seems that climate change has disrupted the traditional times of when to visit so as to view the volcano best. The rooms were impecabbly clean everyday and there were always fun towel animals that the housekeeping staff would make much to the delight of our family. We also mentioned that it was my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary to which the hotel staff left some treats and a small bottle of wine. Very thoughtful. The hotel is further inland off the main road so while it makes it a slight inconvenience getting in and out it's actually a boon when you consider you are away from the main traffic and the noise that comes with it. There was a wild dog that appeared on property that approached my sons and while they were a bit scared by the experience but there was a male staff member who helped them. I forgot his name but he worked in the pool bar and the main restaurant and was pretty jacked. Other than that we felt completely safe and the entire property is very tranquil/serene. The only con I would say is that the bathroom walls are thin so you can hear people talking/babies crying (middle of the night!). It would be great if they added sound dampeners in the bathrooms/bedrooms. Also, the bathroom floors can be very slick as they are wide-tiled so be careful. Both my kids slipped but only my younger son got hurt hitting his back/head.

My family stayed at Arenal Manoa for 3 nights in April. It was an awesome experience. Loved everything about the resort - its location, staff, facilities etc. Karina at the concierge was super helpful in suggesting and arranging all the tours and activities. It was a memorable trip for my entire family. I'd definitely come back again. Pura vida!

Two of us stayed in a junior suite for four nights in April. It was a very comfortable room with a large shower a special welcome gift and daily housekeeping. The bathroom was well stocked with soaps and accessories. There was room for hanging clothes. The refrigerator was nice to keep extra drinks available.

Room large. Breakfast options great. Thermal pools not very warm although less busy than other resorts ( more private).
