Great hotel—especially in our room on the 3rd floor Room 306 with high ceilings…Wonderful front desk attendant in Trent!! Very helpful and kind. However, as a Relais & Chateau-the breakfast service was sub-par!! No possibility of contnentail breakfast with croissants and goodies..THe limited menu provided only: The eggs tasted like made from box, the orange juice from a can, no milk/creamer provided for Nespresso machine in the room. THIS IS NOT UP TO RELAIS AND CHATEAUX STandards. ANd then to charge $35/day for amenities…this is very disappointing! THis hotel, if this is the standard, does NOT meet Relaix e Chateau standards!!

Just spent a beautiful weekend in Healdsburg and stayed at the Les Mars! We will be back... the rooms were very spacious, lots of natural lighting from the 2 large windows, the bed was comfortable and we loved our breakfast every morning that was delivered to our room. Had a very French esthetic and the location was perfect for walking around the town of Healdsburg!

Great small French style upscale hotel just off the square in downtown Healdsburg. Makes a weekend getaway even more enjoyable.

We chose Hotel Les Mars to spend the last 2 nights of our honeymoon, and we were incredibly disappointed with our stay. There was ZERO hospitality. When we arrived at 4:30pm on the Saturday of a holiday weekend, there was literally NO ONE to be found. No one at the front desk, no concierge. There was a note at the front desk saying that the concierge would be returning soon, and to call a number for assistance. But no one answered. We wandered around the hotel until we found someone in housekeeping, who also couldn't help us, so we had to go and find our key ourselves because we were going to be late for dinner!! And this wasn't just a one-off, because it happened AGAIN when we needed to retrieve our car from the valet. For a hotel that is supposed to be part of the Relais and Chateau distinction, this experience was unacceptable, not to mention bizarre. You would think that in the heart of wine country, you would have a wine reception in the lobby for the guests, especially considering that there wasn't even a restaurant or bar in the hotel. But instead, the place was a ghost town, with no service, no hospitality, and no energy. The price we were charged for that lack of service is obscene.

Having enjoyed previous stays here we returned in 04/24, but were really disappointed. The hotel is supposed to be a premium property. They charge accordingly, but cannot deliver in the least. It started when we arrived, when no one was available to valet our car (the nearby lots were full) - clearly understaffed. The welcome glass of wine was also missing. The room was a let down. In the bathroom the sink stopper, the cap on the water fixture, and the toilet paper were all MIA. The TV/Cable was plain Xfinity - no ability to log in to any streaming services. The hotel normally hosts some kind of function in the library in the afternoons/evenings. That did not happen. The hotel just seemed dead, despite being “fully booked”. On our second morning the bathroom reeked of raw sewage. This is not a premium product.

Even though the hotel is very elegant and high end, we encountered some shortcomings that left us questioning the quality of the hotel management and staff. For example, only one washcloth and one very small bar of soap were provided in the bathroom. Also there was no cream (not even the fake stuff) for the coffee. I called the front desk to ask for assistance but no one ever answered the phone. I even went by the front desk and asked for cream for the next day, but it was never delivered. Lastly, a housekeeper banged loudly on our door one morning although we had a privacy sign out. When we opened the door she just looked at us and rudely walked off. These issues may seem minor but added together left us feeling that the hotel is not well managed.

Even before we began our stay, I was impressed with their concierge services. We had not been to Healdsburg for over fifty years when we were college students at UC Davis. The staff at the hotel assisted me with our wine tasting tours and restaurants. he first sent me a list for both areas of interest. He then discussed everything with me over the phone. He then set out to create our week's itinerary! I was so happy to have someone who knew the area assist me with our planning. When we arrive, we were greeted by Amir who quickly got us settled in our very comfortable room. Everything that was so thoughtfully selected for our daily wine trips was amazing. We could not have enjoyed ourselves any more. We travel with our dog, Stella. She was so kindly entertained by Trent who always made every effort to make our stay a most wonderful occasion. We definitely plan to return to this well located hotel with a gracious and welcoming staff.

Disappointed to find that the restaurant at this hotel closed abruptly 2 weeks before our visit. Stayed here in January 2024 and was charmed by this place although for the price has far fewer amenities than other hotels in the area. Although there are many fine restaurants in this area, not having one associated with the hotel means that there was not complimentary wine/champagne in the evenings and the options for the in-room breakfast service limited. Will likely not stay here in the future. Place feels cold and unwelcoming compared to last visit.
