The Landsby

A very pleasant stay in a very comfortable room, beautiful areas to sit outside. The room had a lovely view. Staff very pleasant.

Beautiful property.

Great location, everything within walking distance. I loved the robes and slippers. Great food at the attached restaurant. My concern was the early morning wake up noise from a delivery truck or garbage truck or whatever obnoxious truck that has those annoying back up sounds. Oh and the early morning landscaping clippers and blowers going on. I would stay again. Maybe yard maintenance can be done after noon

The Landsby is AMAZING! The food, the drinks, the accomodations.....everything was fabulous! It was a great 3 day getaway location with friends. The Landby's perfect location made it easy to walk everywhere.

Very modern, clean and central to everything in Solvang

Friendly atmosphere. Excellent service. Rooms were clean - house keeping did an excellent job. Front desk was very responsive.

The Landsby looks charming, but our experience was disappointing. The hotel is nicely located in the center of Solvang. Our room was spacious with nice wooden floors, but there was no safe, no window to open, and the mattress was far too soft and well used. Despite prior communication with reception on our preference, we had to figure out ourselves that our room with two queen beds could be exchanged for one with a king bed. The bathroom had poor lighting, just two rails with no hook, an outdated tub/shower, no magnifying mirror, and only lukewarm water at the sink the first night. Housekeeping carelessly stuffed my PJ‘s onto the suitcase stand instead of placing it on the bed. The restaurant offered no cappuccino, and service was slow and inattentive. We found the menu and food quality rather mediocre and certainly not living up to the ads. On top of this, parking cost an additional $20 per night and bottled water $2. Given the high price for our stay, the overall value was very disappointing and we will certainly make another choice when returning to the area. Unfortunately we were not able to feedback at checkout since the receptionist plainly took back the keys and never asked whether we had a nice stay with them.

our AC went out the night we were there. so it was super uncomfortable. we didn’t know the front desk had messaged me after i fell asleep. the offered fans but obviously i didn’t see the message. I wish they would have called the room instead of texting me.

The Landsby is central to everything Solvang - the bakeries, the restaurants, the wine tasting bars. The staff was courteous and always upbeat. There was convenient and relatively inexpensive parking on premises. The room was spacious and well-appointed, but not luxurious. There was a fridge in the closet that didn't really work, and a day bed in a loft area that was kinda dirty...The bathroom was clean and everything operated very well. It was a pleasant stay in Solvang.
