Had a phenomenal experience at El Templo with Martin, Jorge & Adrianna. Took excellent care of us and made for an amazing experience!

Getting close to nature..this resort had something for everyone. Beautiful place and in the heart of the Jungle..beach near by. Different flavours of food to taste from several restaurants but my top 2 were El Temp and the Brazilian. Staff lovely and can't do enough for you... Celebrating my best friends birthday and what a great time we had ❤️

Had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious and plentiful, the staff are amazing, the room was small but clean, the beach was nice, all in all a fantastic stay!

Great experience at the resort and at the eco tour with Ignacio’s. He is knowledgeable and the tour was fun.

So just came back after a one week stay at the Select Club. Gotta say, worth every dime. A group of 5 retired ladies , and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The restaurants were all good, service was good too. The staff went out of their way to provide special requests or changes. Mainly ate at the Select Club for breky and lunch. Used the spa services, the Metzcal ceremony and a private centote swim after was sublime. Our favorite restaurant for supper was Las Liros, the churro presentation was great and the baseball steak, perfect! The two Select Clubhouses were very comfortable to use, could always find our preferred canned pop there as well as snacks. The library is on the second floor of the beach clubhouse. We didn't use the main pool, the tortuga pool or the Waterpark. The Waterpark, we walked by it a few times and it looked pretty clean, but not our thing lol. The Friday street fair is lovely. The street entertainment was fun with audience involvement. We did the sensory walk too. Liked it. Guests and staff were all friendly and kind. So, for us, the highlights are the resort grounds and the abundance of animals. The raccoons, cats, coatis, monkeys, birds and agoutis are everywhere. We are walkers and the grounds, including out to the ruins, are quite big. The paths go everywhere. The tunnels are a hoot, (literally). The cable bridge is great fun too. This is not a "concrete" resort. It has natural walking grounds, paving stones. The animals are a joy. They are not afraid, not aggressive. All the animals seem to be healthy. The cats are so friendly and so are the monkeys. We booked a snorkeling trip to Cozumel through Efrain Juarez . Excellent service and a great value. He also did our transfers for the airport. The snorkeling was incredible. The water is gorgeous and the sealife, beautiful. Cozumel, near the ferry dock is a great place for souvenirs. So had such a lovely time, we are returning next year and will probably bring our families. Thank you, Sandos Carocol for a wonderful trip.

My hair lady was amazing she did my hair exactly how I had the picture and provided great costumer service. I highly recommend Julisa as she was so kind and did great !!!

Firstly we booked a adults only area break, upon check in told they had some issues no adult only area room available, offered us a supposed upgrade room, not a chance this was an upgrade loud noisy area others fighting through the night (not hotels fault). Gave it a few nights did not want to make a fuss but the noise every night was just not good. Went to see TUI rep who got us put in the room we paid for but not for 36hrs hotel should have been quicker at resolving an issue, went to concierge desk several times ignorant people on the first time we stood waiting for 15 minutes and nobody even acknowledged we were waiting just having a conversation between themselves, gave up and walked away. There were a few good points Grounds are stunning, a fair bit of wildlife The Restaurants Buffet restaurant very busy most the time but food was OK very samey most the time and not overly warm. FOR RESTAURANTS YOU NEED TO BOOK WAIT UP UNTIL MIDNIGHT TO GET A BOOKING FOR 2 DAYS TIME OR YOU WILL NOT GET A BOOKING Brazilian restaurant Food quality excellent, relaxing environment. Los Liros restaurant Food quality excellent, relaxing environment. La Toscana Food quality average, rushed environment.

Here for family celebration. The place is beautiful but the staff are awful. Room booking messed up, events randomly cancelled and the folks who work here couldn’t care less. No one is accountable for anything. Rooms do not look like photos. Pretty run down and leak when it rains.

My family and I just spent 10 days at this resort and really enjoyed ourselves. However, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Here is a breakdown of our experience: The Positives • Food: Overall, the quality is very good. It isn’t Michelin-star dining, but by Mexican resort standards, it’s impressive. There is a wide selection, so you won’t go hungry. While buffet lines can be long, we never waited more than 10 minutes to be seated. • Reservations: The à la carte restaurants are great, but you must be on the app right at midnight to book. If you wait even 15 minutes, everything will be gone. If you’re fast, you can get whatever you want—the Brazilian and the Japenese restaurants are both a must-try! • Drinks & Service: The drinks are standard "watered-down" resort fare. Service at the bars wasn't lightning-fast, but the waits weren't bad (and the resort was full). Note that bartenders and waiters pool their tips here, so big tipping doesn't necessarily get you priority service. • Rooms: Our rooms (Building 54) were clean with excellent A/C (we had 2 rooms). The beds were comfortable (one king and a bunk bed). Perks included a large TV, Bluetooth ceiling speakers, and surprisingly good Wi-Fi throughout the resort. We also had a nice balcony overlooking a green space where we saw monkeys and other wildlife. • Pools & Slides: The pools are warm and shallow (3.6 feet). You’ll need to head out early to snag a chair, as people reserve them with towels all day. The water slides are a great free feature. Word of warning: Avoid the "adult slow slide"—everyone seems to get stuck in it regardless of size. The medium slides are much better and rarely have a wait. • Activities & Grounds: The grounds are ginormous and worth exploring. The Pueblo Magico street party and the sacred cenote are definitely worth attending. • The "Eco" Factor: This is a true eco-resort. Instead of manicured lawns, you get lush jungle, solar panels, and no plastic straws or bottles. You’ll see tons of wildlife like spider monkeys, coatis, and sereques roaming around. If you want a pristine, chemically treated landscape, this isn’t the place for you—but if you love nature, it's perfect. The Negatives • The Beach: This was the biggest letdown. It is very shallow and rocky especially outside the wave break area; water shoes are a necessity. While they try to clean the seaweed, it isn't a great spot for swimming or playing in waves. The beach it self is nice though (nice sand) with lots of chairs included some in the shade. • Walking: Be prepared to walk—a lot. The resort is massive. We enjoyed the walks because of the animals, but it might be a struggle for some. • Service: The service was okay, but not as friendly as we’ve experienced at other resorts, especially in the buffet. I suspect the tip-pooling system might impact the motivation for personalized service. • Prices: The on-site shops and vendors are incredibly overpriced—sometimes more expensive than in Canada (15USD for 2 medium bags of Mexican brand chips). Avoid buying essentials here if you can help it. Overall we really enjoy it and I would recommend it....just not to everyone.
