Hotel Himalaya Frankfurt City Messe

I had really bad experience in our stay in this hotel for two nights. First the size of room is smaller and there is no picture on web site for this economic room, second the noise level is horrible, we were not able to sleep. Last morning there was somebody knocking on the door of our room and they say it's a room service, but we didn't expect no body, when I open the door there was three police man asking me for passport or ID. Because of this I don't recommend this hotel.

overall my stay was good in every thing except the bed mattress was not comfortable. I asked the reception desk to change it but they could not.

Good location, close to train station and within walking distance of the riverfront. We were in the annex. A shabby stairway led to a dark, bare hall, where a motion sensor turned on a light as we turned a corner. Our room was TINY, with little floor space and only one chair on which to put our three suitcases. A small closet provided one shelf and three hangers---more than our London room did, but then, that was a private room in a hostel. This room had no A/C, and the window opened only a few inches. We had a small private shower and sink (semi-open), but the toilet was a tiny, stuffy single stall down the hall. (Yes, the door locks.) The surprise was the lavish free breakfast buffet in the main building, with a wide range of hot and cold foods including scrambled eggs, sausage, deviled eggs, braunschweiger, brie, several kinds of bread, fruit, yogurt, hot and cold drinks....

They said they have internet access, but did not say it's only at the reception.

Staff was really friendly & spoke English. Very accomodating when we arrived very late due to flight delay. Breakfast was yummy. Close walking to city center

good location if you need to take train or flight

I did not book room in Mini Everest but I got what I paid for I guess. Mini Everest is a 3 story building attached to main building. There is no elevator, but spiral staircase present. Staff offered help but I did not expect that there was no elevator. I received a code to access internet, but there was no connection at all. My room was over the roof, somebody from the next room tried to get into my room looking for a girlfriend. I do not have to say that I did not feel comfortable and safe. I tried to put a telephone next to me, but telephone did not work. Since Mini Everest is a separate building I would not get help if I needed it. Needless to say that I do not recommend this hotel. However breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and spoke English.

This is not Hotel. Im sorry to say that. This is more like student dorm. My room was on second building, when u enter the steps to the room are horrible. Smelling in those small hols are disgusting. The room are like students rooms. They don't ever look like hotel rooms. So Im surprised with expedia too, how can u let this kind of "hotel" to be in you're list.

After spending two really nice nigths at the Townhouse hotel close by, which have same 3 star rating as the Everest hotel, we are very disappointed. We didnt get our room until 6PM because they havent cleaned it. The room was located in another building in the backalley. The room was very cold, toilets were shared in the hall and the shower in the room was a part of the room, not in a separate room. The shower did not have any ventilation, and the room was in generel worn down. Luckily we only had to stay one night. I really question the star ratings of hotels in Germany now. How two hotels with same rating can be so different in quality is a mystery. Go for the Townhouse hotel instead.
