City Hotel Mercator

This hotel is apparently a former (typical 1960's style German) apartment building in which apartments were turned into hotel rooms. This peculiarity is already a good reason to stay there. Plus, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, the location is convenient (walking distance to Zeil), the neighborhood is very safe (we had lived nearby for two years, so I know what I am talking about). Overall, the hotel is not luxurious, but very good for the money.

Clean, good location (just 3-5 min walk to Zeil street), very strong wifi signal speed(but not stable, if you can not loading page, go to 2nd floor reset the router on the wall). But there will be no one at the front door after 11pm.

Good hotel close to center and the Musik Hochschule and 5min walking to Oderweg. Hotel was clean and my rooms were quite. Breakfast a little expensive for the quality and price of hotel. Rooms are a little small and NO flat screen TV.

I was visiting Germany for a combination of business trip and a mini vacation. I was being cost conscious, so looked for a good value. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It is in walking distance to the rail system, so it was convenient to all of Frankfurt. It was what I was expecting. It is a good value.

A very nice hotel, located off of the U5 tram line and is only two stops from the Alt Stadt, and the shopping district. The hotel can also be reached from the airport by taking the S9 subway and connecting to the U5 line at the Konstablewacht transfer station which is only one stop away from the Musterschule stop which is only 2 short blocks from the hotel. The hotel is a great value, clean, and updated. Bathrooms are in suite. Four stories, with a small elevator. Breakfast not included, and we didn't partake as they are local groceries nearby, and the room has a small fridge. We will stay here again any time we are in Frankfurt!

the hotel is small, clean and good value if you are on a budget. 5 minute walk to Zeil, the main shopping street in Frankfurt. Breakfast is a good deal or walk 5 miuntes to zeil to a Cafe or Bakery.

Great service, Very helpfull and friendly staff, great location and priced reasonable. Free wireless internet with good connection is a major plus.

Hotel is about 10 min walking distance from the city and is close to bus and train stations. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It's not a fancy place, but our room was clean and quiet - everything we needed. They also have complimentary internet. Would definitely stay there again!

Good location, quiet street, close to Tram and U Bahn stops. The staff were helpful, friendly and all spoke good english . I would go there again.

This hotel is basic, it offers the essentials and it has a very good price-offer ratio. It is very convienently located. If you want just a place to sleep that is safe, clean and neat, this is your place. They offer a breakfast buffet and if you travel with your laptop you can access their WIFI network. The hotel is in walking distance to the Berger Strasse so you do not have to venture too far at night if you do not feel like getting out. The rooms are small so if you want to spend lots of time in the room you want to look for another place. They have a fridge, TV and phone in each room. I stay twice a year in this hotel and keep going back to it.
