Comfort Inn & Suites Grinnell near I-80

Clean very friendly staff

Property is dated, but well equipped and spotlessly clean. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was very quiet, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. Easy access to and from I-80. but not so close that there is highway noise.

Choice Basic Wi-Fi only lasts a few hours then cuts out. You have to continually log in during your stay. While we appreciate the free Wi-Fi, we would prefer to only have to sign in once during our stay. We were trying to watch a football game on ABC, but reception on that channel kept going out. Toilet seat in our guestroom was loose. Having breakfast from 6AM to 9AM is not convenient for leisure travelers. We were on the road for nearly twelve hours before we checked in and we were very tired. My wife went down to bring up some pastry and yogurt. We would have preferred to be able to sit in the dining area and enjoy the full breakfast. We stayed at a Hampton Inn on this trip that kept breakfast open until 10AM, which we really liked.

I think the best moderately priced property in Grinnell. Nice room, tv, food and friendly.

Although we had an issue with an unclean bathtub, the gentleman at the desk was very friendly and prompt on his attempt to help. He was really great

The bathtub was not clean and had an obvious dirt ring. There were no other rooms so the only option was to have a staff member (not housekeeping) come attempt to clean with a spray bottle and a rag. That's it. We bought our own cleaner and cleaned it better.

Good value for price because of pleasant competent and hard working staff, my room was large clean and bed was very comfortable
