Chalet Kilauea

Great location for visiting Volcanoes National Park, property has “jungle vibes” & the space and rooms we rented were big.

The ceiling fan in the room is pretty low right over the bed and close to main walkway (sketch for taller people). Also parking spaces are tight

Chalet Kilauea almost hit it out of the park. If you enjoy staying somewhere that’s not bland and basic, you’ll the funky, charming decor. We loved the forest setting, the large room size, table, microwave, fridge, and dish ware. The bed was comfortable. I say ALMOST 10 out of 10 because the water pressure from the shower was weak and even turned to hottest I got cold. Maybe remove the water filter? I can’t book here again unless the shower ha good water pressure! Also, it’d be nice if they offered breakfast items for purchase.

It’s a nice setting in a forest like garden Volcano National Park is 2 miles On weekends there is market very close

The room I was in lots of light coming in from the frosted windows on the walk

Made you feel like you were staying in the rain forest, unique interior, nice towels and bedding.

The grounds could be maintained better, the bed was very hard.
