Fireside Lodge

My family and I (my wife, our 4-year-old child, and I) recently spent two wonderful days at Fireside Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, and I can’t say enough good things about our stay! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the terrific decoration and attention to every detail in the cabin. The cozy cabin made it feel like a true home, perfectly blending with rustic charm. The kindness shown to my family was exceptional. The employees and the family who run the lodge greeted us with such warmth and made us feel so welcome. They were always available to assist with anything we needed, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and it truly made a difference. One of the highlights for our little one was playing with their lovely dogs. The staff took such great care to make sure our child was safe and happy while interacting with the pups—it was a joy to see! And the breakfast? Hands down, the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a lodge. Delicious, hearty, it was the perfect start to our days exploring South Lake Tahoe. Fireside Lodge is a gem, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with incredible hospitality, look no further—thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable!

My sister and I liked the fireplace, amenities and casual atmosphere.

The mattress on the table was very thin and didn’t make for a great night’s sleep.

Much of South Lake Tahoe is noisy and congested. Fireside is located on the edge of the Camp Richardson forested region, perfect hiking distance from Pope Beach. They provide guests with complimentary bikes in the warmer months and snowshoes when the drifts kick in. Unlike many Tahoe motels on the highways, Fireside Lodge is quiet at night (due to its location). The themed rooms are clean and cozy with quaint kitsch and plenty of space and amenities (such as fireplaces and kitchens with a dining table). The hosts provide a hearty breakfast, including a stand-out waffle bar with all the fixings. The evenings offer wine and cheese and smores by a campfire. There's even a hot tub, sauna, and game room (complete with vintage arcade games). The Fireside Lounge is everything you could want in an affordable Tahoe stay.

Very clean. Amazin people. Nice place to stay with the kids. Provide a play Room, movies, popcorn , smores, puzzles. Breakfast is good as well.

Exactly what we were looking for !!! So cool !!! Love the Retro vibes. They just don’t make them like that anymore. The owners are really warm and friendly. The place is a jewel. You have to check it out, True Tahoe Soul. Can’t wait to go back.

Pet friendly, cute cozy rooms with fireplace and friendly staff. Lots of amenities!! Would come back again
