Excellence Playa Mujeres - Adults Only All Inclusive

Amazing staff who are always happy and are willing to go above and beyond for us! Edgar and Gustavo were definitely top notch when it came to making sure we were well pampered and a drink in our hand!

Absolutely wonderful, relaxing time for a week at the excellence playa mujeres. Our pool concierge Edgar and waiter Gustavo absolutely made the trip! We’ll be back!

Our 3rd (third) visit to Excellence Playa Mujeres within 1.5 years was delightful! This resort will be an annual visit for many years. There are multiple reasons we have returned not just once, but twice. These reasons include: 1) Staff friendliness. It’s a pleasure to chat with the servers, concierges, hosts, and entertainment people. Everyone goes out of the way to help. 2) Staff attention to details. Glasses are never empty, food is nicely presented, cocktails are perfect. 3) Great entertainment. From dance classes to Zumba in the pool to music bands at night – everything is well done and fun. 4) Great food: my wife told the wait staff that she has been eating shrimp for 50+ years, and that a pasta shrimp dish (at The Kitchen) was the best shrimp she has ever tasted. On a sad note, the resort has reduced the number of dishes that they serve. We guess maybe half as many as before. While less choices, the food they serve is excellent – tasty and fresh! 5) Celiac safe food. We have stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres for a total of 20 days during the past 1.5 years. Not once has my celiac wife gotten sick. NOT ONCE! This shows the level of commitment from the cooks and wait staff that ensures there is no gluten ingredients and no cross contamination. Special call outs go to several servers including Alan (Magna & Oregano), Sergio (Basmati), Benjamin (Magna & Oregano), Juan (Kitchen Table), and Daniel (Lobster House). Jorge at the Magna bar was the best bartender ever! We loved Kevin, Jesus, and Brandon for the dance and Zumba classes. Sully, beach concierge was also great.

Everything was amazing. It was my first all inclusive experience and it exceeded expectation. The food was incredible, staff exceptional, amenities were kept clean and the entertainment was delightful. There’s a reason so many people we met this week have been here year after year!

This is our second visit to Excellence, Playa Mujeres, and we can't say enough about how wonderful this resort is! Our recent stay was 12/29/25-1/5/26, over the New Year's holiday. First, we would like to thank people, individually for their hospitality, professionalism, and extraordinary service: Jesús, the Activities Director: He has an amazing, natural, talent for hospitality. He is fun, friendly, and always makes us feel like family. ... and that smile!!! He makes sure everyone is enjoying their stay and he has a great ability to get people to participate without making them feel uncomfortable. Grecia Martin, General Front Desk Manager: We had a slight issue with our reservation. Grecia quickly addressed our concerns and resolved the issue with our complete satisfaction, so we could enjoy the remainder of our vacation. Josue, Excellence Club beach concierge: very much like Jesús, Josue has a remarkable talent for hospitality and made sure to check on us several times a day throughout our 3, full-day beach cabana reservation. We loved the special touches: champagne welcome bottle & bottled water in an ice bucket. He would offer delicious fruit skewers and fun cocktails. We enjoyed having pleasant conversation with Josue. Again, we were made to feel like family. To ALL the service staff: Thank you for making our stay relaxing & magical! Our room was always filled with our favorite beverages and snacks. The cleanliness was impeccable. We loved the special touches and attention to detail: room service attendants & turn down staff, maids, Excellence Club pool service & beach service attendants, Personal pizza to order by the main pool, and the Excellence Club pool concierge I wrote down the names of all we can remember but we didn't run across anyone at the resort that doesn't deserve praise for their wonderful service and friendliness: Gustavo, Belizario, Rogelio (room service and excellence club attendants) & Aaron (seaside drink attendant) The wait and bus staff at the Kitchen table was fantastic. Our cups & glasses were always full and we didn't feel rushed to complete our meal, and they were quick to remove empty plates.The buffet food was plentiful, tasty, and always fresh. I loved that we could request made to order omelets. The entertainment was professional & lively! We especially loved silent DJ, the live bands, the retro New Year's party, and pool Zumba! There is something for everyone, we felt. We ate dinner at all restaurants except Chez Isabelle. We will eat there for a future stay. We didn't have one bad meal. Every plate was delicious, presented beautifully, and the food was always hot. Lastly, several resort managers would walk around the pool and lounge areas, asking for honest feedback and they were genuinely gracious for any and all feedback. Great place overall. Some rooms struggle with ac/humidity control at night. Staff was amazing all around and plenty of food options

The property is beautiful, the room is fantastic, the food & beverage locations were top notch, the entertainment was terrific and the staff couldn't have been any better. We will definitely be back!

We chose this resort for my bff’s 60th birthday trip. While our journey was challenging, we have been treated like royalty from the moment we entered the lobby. For our first full day we reserved a seaside cabana and had the pleasure of being hosted by Josue and Aaron. Both went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful day. Much thanks!

Jouse and Emiliano were fabulous!! They made our stay excellent! The service was so great! The spa with Leo was amazing as well. I am pregnant and the spa was very accommodating!

Josue and Emiliano were fantastic as we spent so much of our time on the beach. Each of them were kind and very considerate of the experience that we were looking for on our trip. They treated us like family!
