"Very nice modern hotel with friendly staff"

8.0

Stayed for one night on a tour of China. Nice clean rooms with safe and refrigerator. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent with many choices both western and chinese. Used the bar area in the evening and service was friendly and very good. Wood definitely recommend.

"1 Night Stay as part of Sinorama Tour"

6.0

I agree with most of the comments about this hotel. It was definitely the nicest hotel we stayed at while in China, however it is too bad that it stinks of cigarette smoke! What a way to ruin such a beautiful place.

"Absolutely Beautiful"

10.0

Enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel in Wuhan. It is absolutely beautiful and located in a good neighbourhood with lots of shopping close by. Take a stroll at night, amazingly beautiful with lights in the trees and a huge playground for kids. Families were out, roller skating and kids just having a great time. The hotel in my opinion is a five star with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Wifi is free and the reception in the room is strong. The breakfast is included and offered hot and cold dishes.

"Nice location on our tour."

8.0

We stayed here as part of a Sinorama tour and it was a great relief after the prior hotels! The room was much, much nicer. We were close to a bank and there was a great "mall" across the street with a shop in the basement with terrific snacks and reasonably priced good wine. (We stocked up before taking off on the cruise the next day.) Since we were traveling by tour bus, I don't know much else about the location. The staff was terrific and the breakfast was good.

"Nice view! Great room!"

10.0

One of the nicest places we stayed in China. Too bad there wasn't much else going on in Wuhan. The room and bed were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and functional. It was located with a department store across the street and some public space nearby where the locals were doing dancing, tai chi, and kids were driving their big wheels for the moon cake festival. It was a lot of fun!

"An average hotel and not cheap"

4.0

My room has no view. The bed was comfortable and the internet was fast. The furniture looked old and the toiletry was average. There was no bedside socket. On the coffee table, there were two bottle of water which cost RMB 30 each. The free bottled water was put in the toilet. The gym was big but dirty. No tower was provided. The breakfast was average. Check out was a 10-minute wait. The service was ok. Overall I felt that the hotel was over-priced.

"Reasonable Business Hotel - Updated"

8.0

I spent just one day at this location and can't report a lot of details --- but, after reading some past reviews it appears that the property has been updated. I found the room, and common areas I visited in excellent repair and cleanliness. (I've had the experience with other properties in the Jinjiang chain; management seems to refurbish them and then allow them to get quite "tired". For that matter, this is true of other Chinese hotels, too!) As of August 2016 it looks like they've renovated extensively here. Both my room as well as the lobby and restaurant all looked like new. WiFi was free and fast. Staff was courteous and attentive; although as others noted English skills are moderate at best. I had no troubles, so didn't have the opportunity to test their communication ability "under pressure". I picked the location for its convenience to the Hankow railway station - less than 10 minutes by cab-- despite the cautionary reviews; and was pleasantly surprised by the apparent improvements.

"Nothing Special"

6.0

Staff, though limited in English, were cordial. No doorman meant that I needed to carry my own bags into the hotel. I have no problem with this but the level of service provided is indicative of a three star hotel. I was accommodated on a non-smoking floor but lobbies, common areas and the fifth floor fitness room were filled with cigarette smoke. The gym, while dark, was well equipped but attendants allowed men to smoke while they exercised. Judging from the dusty hallway leading to my room and the slight smell of mildew inside, I was likely the only person to have stayed in this room for some time. I saw the hallway being vacuumed the morning after my arrival when I was on my way down for breakfast. Looking at the list of occupied rooms being checked by the breakfast room attendant, I saw that I was the only guest staying on the 25th floor. The room where I was lodged had two pillows, without pillowcases, placed in odd areas. One pillow was sitting atop the bedside lamp while the other was in the middle of the chaise lounge. I found this to be offsetting. The business desk in the room was not cleaned of crumbs from a previous guest yet the rest of the room was reasonably clean. The bathroom was in excellent condition with laundered towels and an array of complimentary toiletries. Bottled water for drinking was provided at no cost. The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price of my room, gave me many choices. While cold cuts were served, no cheese was offered. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. Wifi is complimentary for hotel guests and the signal was strong enough for me to watch streaming video online. The hotel is located in the banking district and within walking distance to where I needed to be. A taxi is necessary to reach the hotel from the airport as no direct bus service from the airport to the hotel is available. I paid 80 RMB for a taxi which included a 15 RMB highway toll. I checked out shortly before the noon deadline but wanted to remain in the hotel lobby, using their WiFi for an hour or so before heading on but I was promptly asked to leave. Although I was wearing a business suit, I no longer had reason to be in the hotel as I had checked out and chose not to pay for an extra day of lodging only to use one hour. For those looking for average accommodation and a fair price, I would certainly recommend the JinJiang International Hotel. It is not the kind of place where I would choose to stay again but I would not object to being lodged here in future should the need to be in Wuhan should arise again.

"Ok hotel in Wuhan"

6.0

Quite ok hotel in Wuhan. Jinjiang International Hotel in Wuhan China, is a typical hotel, with big rooms and big baths. It is centrally located in Wuhan, and if you book through any Chinese side or through a friend in China, this hotel quite affordable. Beds hard as always in China. Quick in and out check. The staff friendly and helpful.

"Good but below today's standard for a 5-star hotel"

6.0

Luxury Hotels in China are ubiquitous and well-maintained. This site was selected by my host because of its long history. Though it was very pleasant, it no longer keeps pace with the 5-star standard in China. The room had several defects: a window that would not close completely, a sting mildew smell in the bathroom. Etc. The restaurant has a standard breakfast buffet, but the western traveler will miss the usual comforts aside from fried eggs. Staff are profession, but English proficiency is far below other 5-star hotels. It is possible to use pigeon English and charades to get by in a pinch. For sure, this is a pleasant and comfortable place. Highly recommended on many points, but no longer a 5-star experience.
