Secluded and beautiful. Paradise!

A wonderful laid back and chill island vibe place…thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Las Rocas!

We stayed at Las Rocas from 5/31 to 6/7/25. We enjoyed everything about this place. It was calm, peaceful and the grounds are beautiful with the various tropical fauna and palm trees. It truly has that tropical, jungle island feel and it's right on the water. The 2nd floor bungalow was perfect for our needs and the AC was ice cold. The porch had a wonderful view through the palm trees looking out to the sea. The onsite bar and restaurant were excellent with fresh delicious food and a great daily happy hour from 3pm-6pm. Although we enjoyed all of the breakfasts and dinners during our stay, my favorite meal was the grouper livornese. The sunsets from their deck were awesome. There is a small beach right where they dock their dive boats and it was perfect just to jump in and wade around during sunset or to start off your morning with a refreshing dip. They do have a small saltwater pool but we did'nt go in it - the sea was steps away! And a very big shout out to the entire staff at Las Rocas!! They all work very hard to make the place what it is....a quiet and beautiful gem just steps away from West Bay Beach. I've read reviews from others about how the rooms and bathrooms need updating....I feel it's all part of the simple and beautiful charm that is Las Rocas. Although we did'nt dive with them, they had a very active dive shop and it seemed the guests were very happy with the dives they went on. So, if you're into a simple, chill, island vibe without all the "noise" of West Bay and is centrally located between West Bay and West End I highly recommend Las Rocas. We will be staying here again for sure upon our next visit to Roatan.

We loved Las Rocas! The property is beautiful, rooms were clean and breakfast was great every morning. We hope to come back soon!

Perfect place in Roatan!

This place grew on me the longer we stayed. I Was originally UNDERwelmed but the longer we were there, I LOVED it. It is rustic and Quiet and has a great location. The restaurant had great food, the Happy hour 3-6 was great! The staff were all nice. It was with walking distance to most everything and if not you could grab a water taxi rite off the pier. Diving or Snorkeling is on site! Things you should know, there is No TV (if that's your thing), and bring your own beach towel. My only recommendations for the resort are: the rooms need a safe for personal belongings and the room keys need a more efficient way beside Key on a block of wood. Other than that We LOVED it and will be back to the Las Rocas Resort.

Friendly staff, good food and service. Loved the cabin like rooms and reasonably priced. Good dive shop with good dive masters.

Fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, and a rotating hot plate menu included every morning for breakfast was great! The dinner and happy hour were good enough that we never ate anywhere else. The location was minutes away from West Bay beach, but offset by a little to give more privacy. Private dock and dive shop on the premises (though I did not dive with them). AC was outstanding.

The water pressure in the shower could be a little better, and the mattress is a bit too firm/springy - whenever my fiance moved at night, it trampolined me a little, decreasing the quality of my sleep. While the area is known for no-see-ums and mosquitoes, you can manage this pretty well by keeping the main door and bathroom door shut (though I think mosquitoes were coming in through the shower drain)

We stayed for 4 nights. It was a good value oceanview resort in a quiet area. Our lodging rate included breakfast. Our room has a double bed and a twin bed. It was spacious. The room does not have a safe and the front office has a safe for customers. The only drawback is that a customer can only access it at certain times. I learned that it was because there are only select people that has access which make it more secure. There is a security guard that patrols the resort. The resort had a restaurant and bar. It had a nice view of the ocean and it was nice to see sunsets. It has a very small pool which is more like a jacuzzi. The resort is next to a small beach. There was a walking path to the resorts/hotels/restaurants/bars & white sand beaches of West Bay. This was one of the benefits of staying in this resort. It was in a secluded and secure location yet walking distance to many key places.

We had a cabana with mini-fridge stacked with drinks and snacks. They had an interesting rule that if the customers remove the items and placed our personal items that they will charge $15 per day usage. We had an a/c which is nice; however, it had an irregular “ticking” noise and was annoying at night when we were sleeping. We mentioned this issue with the front desk staff and we don’t think that the maintenance man figured out how to fix it.

We stayed in this resort because we wanted to stay in a resort in West Bay that had a dive center. The dive center staff that checked us in was not aware of “DAN” insurance when I mentioned it so they can call the emergency number for us. It was a little worrisome. We did 4 dives in 2 days. We stayed in 2 other resorts (Seagrape in the West End for 8 nights with 11 dives and Coral View Resort in Utila for 3 nights with 4 dives). The dive rates and scuba gear rental fee were considerably higher in this resort & my bc was older. In addition, the boat was small compared to the other resorts and was full. I felt claustrophobic and didn’t have a comfortable diving experience.
