Harbour House

We stayed there on the way up to visit relatives in Canada and then again on the way back to the US. We had our two large pups with us and they enjoyed the stays as well.

Clean, spacious rooms with large bathrooms, good buffet breakfast with pleasant waitstaff. Front desk staff not very warm or welcoming. Convenient and quiet location for Shaw Festival.

Wonderful too to bottom, from the front desk, Emma, to the courtesy driver, Ali. Excellent stay!

Room was clean, and hotel maintained. Front desk staff was efficient and friendly. We appreciated the shuttle to and from our offsite dinner reservations. Ali, the driver was very nice, professional and offered suggestions for other activities.

Great property, great location 💜

Recently returned from a trip to Harbor House and I would not recommend staying there. I returned to my room to take a nap only to hear a dog barking incessantly. The owners had gone to play golf and had left the dog in the room. Because the hotel is pet friendly the management could not enter the room to remove the pet. The receptionist took the information and sent it to the management. She heard the barking in the Lounge. Not only was this abusive to the guests but also to the dog. I also sent an email to the management and have heard nothing. Rate the management 1 star.

The property was fine. Information about the shuttle was confusing, not always available. The biggest issue was a noisy dog left in the room barking while the owners went out to play golf. I would not recommend staying at this property for that reason. I wanted to take a nap but it was impossible with the dog barking for hours. Not only was this rude for many in the hotel including the lounge but it was terrible for the dog. While I spoke to the receptionist and she documented the problem I never heard from the management. Since it is pet friendly the staff could not enter the room to remove the dog. The owners were called and a message left on their phone. I sent the management an email also and they completely ignored it. An establishment is only as good as the management and I have to say I would not give them even 1 star. This is not an inexpensive establishment so spending your money elsewhere is recommended.
