Beware although Petfriendly there is a 125 dollar nonrefundable deposit per pet. We expected there to be a fee but that was the most we have ever had to pay to bring our pet.

I enjoyed the location and view of the property. However, I was disappointed that breakfast was not included with my room. There wasn't even complimentary coffee in the lounge area. So it's a toss up - view or breakfast. Had I realized that, I would have booked at the Embassy Suites which is well known for it's excellent breakfast offerings for it's guests.

My newly remodeled room was beautiful. Super peaceful.

Close to freeway and SLO town.

Overall great stay and staff did well to accommodate during renovations.

Manager needs to double check if guests have checked out. We had two maids at different hours of the morning try opening our door while we were sleeping, the second one said the manager told her we had checked out even though check out wasn't for another hour

This place is both badly managed and misleading. We booked 2 rooms and included a pet, so they knew we were coming in with our dog. I had sent a message via the app and asked for 2 top floor (3rd) connecting rooms. I got a confirmation that it was taken care of. However, when we checked in, we were told that dogs can only stay on the first floor rooms and because hotel was full and there is construction going on, all other rooms are unavailable. So we got 1 first floor room with the dog and one on 3rd for our kids. And we had to walk outside the hotel (motel-style) all the way to the back with all our bags to get to our room. No where does it say on the website or the app that the pets can only stay on the first floor and if you have another room with kids, they will get split up. The first floor room was a disaster for the dog, because with people walking outside, cars and generally a noisy environment, most dogs including ours, did not sleep well at night, barking often and just feeling uneasy. Because of the construction, they have taken over 50% of the parking area, so everyone was parking illegally across fire lanes, handicap spots, next to the construction container etc. We had to park across the motorbike spots. And they have the audacity to charge $15 for daily parking, in addition to their inedible breakfast for $$$ (which we didn’t even bother). Lastly, the front desk manager (Hitesh) was not helpful (or appreciative of elite members) with his passive aggressive behavior. When I showed him the reservation details that we had a dog included in our reservation, he dismissed it as “we don’t see that in our system”. WTF?? Are you not a Bonvoy property? And I showed him the chat message with his team before we checked in about rooms being connected or next to each other, given we had our kids, he didn’t accommodate in any way. This is not worthy of a Bonvoy property and these reception staff people are not helpful at all. There was no apology offered even if you are a Platinum/Titanium members. But they do have some free cookies in the lobby 🙄
