Never stayed here before,usually stay in a downstairs room but there was none so the hotel manager said the room he gave us we would be happy with and we were!! Very nice,clean,quiet,DEFINITELY will stay again!

Fix inoperative WiFi and intermittent TV

It's an old motel in a old neighborhood. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, very 70's. Manager was very accommodating.

They have no late check-in process. Ring bell for sleeping staff, but hard to hear the buzzer, and staff was not happy to be awoken. We called as soon as we got stuck in road construction/road closure to let them know and were told to just ring the buzzer. Staff told us upon arrival that check-in is at 3pm and ‘not to be later than 3p to check-in if we book there again’ I again apologized and explained that the road construction on I-5 caused the late arrival. Finally got our room key with zero explanation or directions to the room. And the property oddly numbered the rooms on both floors in the 100’s ( 110’s downstairs and 130’s upstairs) Check-out was smoother and staff was polite the next day. I chalked up the attitude to being woken up but they really need to give a flyer/property map for their motel. I didn’t even know there was morning coffee in the lobby (and our coffee maker in room still had a use/dirty coffee pack dried out and smelly/musty inside so we couldn’t use it). The property has been renovating and the shower makeover was very well constructed. They do need to install a better safety lock on the door since there is only a key entry lock. The windows have torn and dirty screens to keep out insects (but the windows do open wide letting in the ocean cool air).
