Deerfoot Inn and Casino

We stayed at the hotel with our granddaughters girls hockey team. The team breakfast buffet was simple but adequate. The rooms were very clean though the beds definitely needed new mattresses, especially the pullout couch. The restaurant was excellent and the service was superb. The Sunday brunch and prime rib buffet looked really good. The pool was enjoyed by all the kids. The fitness room was small and clean. We stayed on the top floor and found it to be very quiet. There's a curfew of 9 p.m. and I gather that the other floors were quiet after that. The lobby was a great place to meet by the warm fireplace. Parking was okay but busier on the weekend.

Staff was lovely, room was very clean, pool area was clean and fun! John's Pizza on Douglas Woods Drive SE was delicious!

THIS hotel is considerably higher priced than most in the area, due to the casino. Thee rooms are just average, pillows are poor quality. We stayed on the first floor and weren't told that its a floor that allows pets we were woken up at 2 in the morning by a barking dog..

The hotel is rather nice, but the cleanliness has been very subpar the last 3 times I've stayed there. Out of the last 3 stays I had hair clogging the shower drain twice. The first time it just drained slowly, and I simply mentioned it to the front desk staff on checkout. The second time I had to pull a rat sized clump of hair from the shower drain with tweezers and flush it down the toilet because the drain was completely clogged. Each time I mentioned it to the front desk - and each time I did not ask for compensation but no compensation was offered either. I've found food crumbs on the carpets before, and in my last stay someone else's sock was on the floor upon our check in, presumably the last person to stay there, and was folded into a ball against the side of one of the bed frames. The staff is nice, the hotel looks nice, the restaurant is ok, but I can't overlook regular cleanliness problems. Unless I'm attending an event at the Deerfoot Inn I always stay somewhere else when in Calgary.

Deerfoot is always a great stay. Rooms need a renovations and bright them up. Pool could use a little upgrade as well.

Best sleep the beds are so comfortable!! The room is clean and staff were very helpful. The restaurant had a delicious menu. Loved that they had an accessible grassy area with dog bags. Definitely will return.

Staff was extremely friendly. The rooms felt old and dated. Was okay, the casino was good. Could stay at a nicer hotel for cheaper.
