The hotel was magnificent. The service was awesome. The staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful facility located in a wonderful area, easy access to the town and the beaches. Five stars!

Only one restaurant was open. Corridors to bedrooms were dark and uninviting.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa — it exceeded expectations. A special thank you to Sophia and Carolina in guest relations, who made everything effortless from the moment we arrived. We loved how everything was organised via WhatsApp — such a seamless touch. The spa was lovely, with excellent treatments from Leticia and Camilla. We really enjoyed the terrace — the club sandwich on late arrival was delicious with a glass of wine, and the sea views are beautiful. We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite, and the views from our room were stunning. The location is perfect — peaceful, but still within easy walking distance of the town. Overall, one of the nicest hotel experiences we’ve had. Warm, relaxing, and genuinely welcoming — we will definitely be back. Thank you 🤩

This was my second visit to Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa and I can't wait to go back. This is a five-star hotel in every sense, with genuinely caring staff who manage to balance professionalism with authentic friendliness. Memorable aspects for me are the sea view, spotless marble floors, comfy pool lounger with accompanying towel (no need to go searching for one), the generous size of the bedroom, wonderful private sea-facing balcony, special touches such as the in-room universal adapter plug and delicious turndown chocolate, pleasant walk into Cascais, and magnificent peacock wandering the grounds showing off its full feathered glory!

Beautiful hotel is a great location. We’ve been lucky enough to stay in many 5* star hotels around the world, but I have to say we were totally overwhelmed with the service we received from staff at the Grand Real Villa Italia. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a happy and memorable one. Outstanding service from Sofia (Guest Relations Manager). What a gem she is! She couldn’t have done more for us during our stay and made us want to come back in the future. The rooms and outdoor pool were wonderful. Location is perfect, and breakfast divine. I can highly recommend and we will definitely be back to beautiful Cascais and this outstanding hotel in the future.

There’s not much not to like! If I was being picky, the WiFi could do with an upgrade. In the suites sometimes it was intermittent when I had business meetings on Teams. The hotel could invest more in experienced massage therapists, possibly from Bali/Thailand where they are experts in professional massage. Our experience was adequate, but when we booked a local spa in the town the following week it was a lot better.

Fantastic hotel! The location and quality of the hotel can only be beaten by the fantastic staff there! Another very enjoyable and relaxing few days spent at the Grande Real Villa Italia. Set right next to the coast, with great views and a short walk to the marina and nearby town of Cascais. A perfect location for a romantic getaway. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend!
