Fantastic location and indoor pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Having a bell at the bar and reception to ring when you need to speak to someone would have been very handy, hense the overall score of 9.

The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good quality. Love the bake beans. Room was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. Great location for the bus to other parts of South Devon. Bus 12 took us to Paignton which had many connection and a lively town centre near the beach front. There is a pool at the hotel which is nice for cooling down from the warm weather outdoors.

I loved my room, particularly because of my limited mobilty. However, I was not able to utilise the window or outer door because they open to the street and carpark. I did n't feel comfortable or safe to leave them open for breeze as it was on the ground floor. Windows and door could do with one sided film paper to avoid people seeing in the room. Otherwise, I loved everything about my stay at Abbey Sands Hotel.

The pool was nice to swim and wasn’t very deep. The beds were very comfy and clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating, very helpful. There was parking at the hotel, though you had to pay for it separately. The view from the room and the location were nice. Some of the rooms are refurbished

Heating was poor, only once a day in the morning. The room was in dire need of refurbishment with outdated carpet and throughout decorations (cracks on the ceilings and walls), old furniture and fittings. Facilities around the swimming pool not fit for purpose, no lockers. Though breakfast was plentiful, not a lot of choice. Not all the rooms are refurbished.

Parking adjacent to hotel - very fair charge . Staff welcoming - chatty bright enthusiastic. Breakfast good . Excellent value for money . Morgan a polite night porter . Caroline interested to our evening out at Princess Theatre . Room clean . Comfortable bed & pillows .

Grounds could have been tidier & the rear of the property but it all has costs for grounds maintenance & gardeners so we understand

The location, is very close to the beach. Lots of pubs, restaurants, with sea view. Very good!!!! The hotel was very good, offered a indoor pool, dinner with entertainment. The breakfast was amazing!!!! Had everything we needed!!!

The hotel might need a bit of renovation.... might need to check a little dust on the windows. Some details on the cleaning areas. Despite overall it looks very clean.

The room I stayed in was larger than I expected, staff were polite and helpful. Close to the beach.

Very small TV, but I didn't stay there to watch television.
